Hunting-Aeresella (20/40), Awi by taikunfoo Hunting-Aeresella (20/40), Awi by taikunfoo
After dropping the other tokota off at her house with her owner, Archer headed back out with Awi and Aeresella. The days were getting longer and lighter, so they still had plenty of time to hunt before Archer had to have Aeresella back home with her owner. The two tokotas padded in the general direction of her land, Aeresella leading the way through the trees as they wove their away around the thick trunks. After a hour or so, Archer halted the two tokotas by a large rock and slid off of Awi's back, stretching his legs as he settled on the ground. Awi went off sniffing in the bushes somewhere while Aeresella stayed with Archer. He pulled a smushed sandwich out of his pocket and leaned against the rock, eating while the large black tokota watched him with interest. With a sigh, Archer fished a piece of meat out of his sandwich and tossed it at the tokota, who grabbed it out of the air with a snap of her teeth. Archer finished his sandwich in silence, listening to the chirps of migrating birds and ducks in the forest around him, and waited for Awi to return. After a few minutes, he got impatient, so Archer whistled, and a few moments later Awi came bounding out of the forest and slid to a stop in front of him. Archer rubbed his muzzle before walking around his side and swinging back up onto his back, and the group resumed their slow, wandering walk back to Aeresella's home. Time drifted by, and Archer began to stifle yawns as they drew closer to Aeresella's house when a fox darted across the path in front of them. Both tokotas froze for a moment, before Aeresella bolted after the small animal, and Awi wasn't far behind her. Archer dug his fingers into Awi's mane and gripped the tokota with his knees as the tokotas ran through the forest after the fox. It was a short chase-Aeresella brought down the fox quickly and with ease as Archer and Awi came up behind her. She stood over the fox, uncertain about giving up the prey at first but backed away from the kill when Archer slid off of Awi to inspect the animal. He praised Aeresella and gave her a ear scratch before picking up the fox and swinging himself back onto Awi's back and draping the fox over his back in front of him.
