Born ‘oop north’ in the last dying gasp of the 70′s. Anthony has always had a prolific imagination and the ability to spell. Having honed his spelling abilities at an early age his future success as a civil servant seemed assured until at age 15 he fell in with ‘the wrong sort of crowd’ consisting of roleplayers, occultists and university students.

Having found being served in Uni pubs far more interesting than GCSE’s, it was inevitable that he would combine his talent for spelling things correctly with the maelstrom of scarred ideas formed during this time – thus his life was forever nudged off course.

Anthony has written for a wide variety of mediums, having been published in both small press and mainstream anthologies for both poetry, short comics and short stories.

His freelance credits include both national and industry magazines and have varied in topics from reviews, feel good slush to the fantastically dull topic of project finance (don’t ask).

A year in Japan allowed him to work with a variety of Mangaka in both Gunma and Tokyo and gave him the opportunity to immerse himself in the culture as well as avoiding real work.

Whilst spending time in corporate marketing, Anthony has developed scripts for both advertising and digital media spots as well as copy for both B2B and B2C marketing – the whole process was less exciting than it sounds. Having found paying the bills far too entertaining, Anthony returned to his first love, writing, and now balances his time between contracting in the really real world of professional services and freelancing in the creative industries.

His most recent work includes a submission to the “Spirit of Hope” Charity anthology (with Grant Perkins), an entry into the MCM “Huntsman’s challenge” (with Meirion Jones) and a self published series of comics titled ’6 Degrees‘ due out in 2012. He has another couple of short comics (to be formally announced) due out in anthologies in 2012/2013. He is developing the unsigned modern Robin Hood story (unsurprisingly called ‘Hood‘) with Jason Salisbury and has co-written a series of comics with Tony Lee which may or may not ever see the light of day.

Outside of comics Anthony is by accident a regular tourist, having travelled both most of Europe and Asia extensively (as well as chunks of Africa) and has finished an 8 month journey around the world in which he desperately pitched Futureshocks from locations as remote as Easter Island and Mount Everest base camp.

He also has a regular flirtation with the study of Chaos Magic and other philosophical paradigms and has been described as “That a guy with tourettes”

He enjoys surfing, role-playing and is an obsessive gadget collector.

He doesn’t own an iPhone.
