The Fir tree was the cheapest in the lot. A day later it had a foil star on top. Now as they sat in a home so humble. The star could hear some tummies rumble. A small girl admired the star she made. And made a wish for better days. Her Parents sighed as they put her in bed. Christmas should not be a time to dread. On the tree the star seemed to gleam. Sending out a shiny light beam. Outside the home a Bear trudged through the snow. Through a frosty window keen eyes caught a glow. Outside the window curious eyes peered in. To ignore this home would be a sin. So a strange little Bear made it her mission. To give someone's Christmas what it was missing. She gathered up others of her kind. They all felt sad as they heard of her find. So they set about finding what others had thrown. Including canned goods with contents unknown. They found unwanted toys which needed a home. Also a Teddy who had to be sewn. A pair of mittens they hoped would do. After receiving just a stitch or
Bright in the Dark
The cave was dark, good for hiding tears
But could not mask sounds to a Piggy’s ears.
A forlorn Raccoon sat sniffling inside
Not wanting others to know he had cried.
For Bright Heart it was a terrible day
One in which nothing had gone his way.
A smart male with wounded pride.
He had good reasons to want to hide.
A Care Cousin Pig slowly made her way
Never intending to save the day.
She crept up to the boy ’Coon inside.
And put her hip up to his side.
Not a word was said as hoof sought paw
Then wounded pride was healed by awe
Whispered words banished the day’s events
Prom Slight
Our Senior Year had finally arrived.
So many school days we had survived.
But I had dated out of our Class.
How dearly I paid for loving a girl with sass.
I thought I had found my True Lover.
But then she dumped me for another.
She should have been my Belle of the Ball.
With Prom approaching I had no date at all.
So I waded back into the dating pool.
Never dreaming girls would play me for the fool.
Two girls said they would find me a date.
The Care Bear Lament
The Stars have come, the Sun has run
The Care Bear world is missing One
Your Soul has now strayed afar
Into the arms of Mother Star.
We have lost a Kindred Bear
A pain in which we all must share
Many tears will hit the ground
As the Wishing Star shines down.
Lives are not permanent
We must join the Firmament
Bodies are not ours to keep
They turn to dust as others weep.
The Master of All has made the call
Death will visit one and all
Yet our Souls will carry on
Into the great Realm beyond.
Yes the Stars will light the way
When we greet our dying day
Our death we shall not fear
Knowing God is always near.
“Goodbye, Steel Friend” the man did mutter
As the tow line tightened the ship seemed to shudder.
She seemed to know that all things must end
The Breakers Yard is not a ship’s friend.
Sailors we were, and Sailors we be
The Indy was once Home to you and me.
She took us to the far ends of The Earth
Time and again she proved her worth.
In times of Peace and times of War
Within her hull we felt secure.
Snug in our racks she rocked us to sleep
She kept us safe on the oceans deep.
Her Air Crew also knew her well
Surviving a flight deck hot as Hell.
Working hard in exhaust and steam
Barely seeing Escorts aft and abea

I am a warrior, of Aluminum and Steel
My Crew set sail with worry and Zeal
To Seas in another Hemisphere
Where young men had to face their fear.
For Maggie Thatcher and The Crown
They braved the fact that they may drown
They did it all with few complaints
Damn International restraints.

Valentines Baby, why are you blue?
Is it because there are no Cards for you.
Are you thinking of that horrible day
When your Lover, just walked away?
Valentines Baby, Birthdays should be fun
Remember that time, your’s was forgotten?
There were no Gifts, nor Cards for you
A Valentines Heart, should not be blue.
Valentines Baby, it was nothing you did
Perhaps the blame lies on Cupid.
For this is true, Cupid can be dumb
Leaving one’s Heart, just feeling numb.
Valentines Baby, what can you do
Your Birth date brings no Love to you
Unlucky in Love, is what you have been
How many times must your Heart mend?

I Dreamed I was Waltzing Matilda with You by TaggertShare, literature
I Dreamed I was Waltzing Matilda with You
“I Dreamed I was Waltzing Matilda with You”
I awoke from a Dream that seemed so True
I was back in Perth dancing with you.
A drunken Sot yelled ’80s Songs won’t do
The Singer yelled “it’s Waltzing Matilda for you”.
I grabbed your Hand and I said to you
“I can’t Waltz, so will a dance do?”
You laughed and to the Dance floor we Flew
And there I Danced Matilda with you.
You told of a Beach that I must
The stocking was hung with such great care
Though I doubted Santa would be there
Another lonely day had passed
An no great treasure had I amassed.
I saw the Mistletoe I had hung
While on the CD a Carol was sung
I looked toward my Christmas Tree
Very few presents where there to see.
Oh so hard to find some Christmas Cheer
When you have no loved ones standing near
And when I work hard every day
But o
Nuts Over Texas
I live in an Aquatic World
But fell in love with a Mammalian Girl
Some say this love can not last
Up to now it has been a blast.
A pineapple is home to me
She resides in a dome under The Sea
And there I hope she will stay
Oh please Sandy, don’t move away
To some you are just a Squirrel
But to me you are a most special Girl

I was taggertro until my account got hacked. You can find some of my previous works here at DA under that penname. I also have some Fan fiction stories published. So please check out my stories at fanfiction.net . The two most popular are "Understanding Grumpy" and "Good Luck's Wish". My last two Poems involved Ships. I spent four years in The U.S. Navy, aboard the Carrier U.S.S. Independence. When I heard she is slated to be scrapped I wrote "Goodbye Steel Friend".
I am a Personal Service Specialist working part time. I thought I had been hired for a full time Job, then they just did not complete the hiring process. I don't know why and can't get an answer from them! Sorry if my picture scares you. That is the latest one of me taken in 2013. I am dyslexic so if you spot mistakes in my writings just blame my scrambled Brain. My Spell Checker doesn't always catch mistakes. The upside is I can read things that are upside down and backwards.
Thank You to all who take time to read this and any of my Stories or Poems. Right now I can't afford my own Internet Access so I have to borrow my Parent's Computer when I visit them. Still I will keep on trying to write. Thank you to all who have read any of my Works.

No, I can't draw. Peek a Boo had tan fur with silver hairs interspersed like a Grizzly Bear. Just much smaller. Hunter had orange tan fur. With thick dark dark brown eyebrows. Also a streak of dark brown fur on top of his head, like a natural mohawk cut. They would probably be hard to draw as is. thanks for asking.
