1) Felidae. This is a German animated film that was based on a 1989 novel, written by Akif Pirincci, The film centers around a domestic cat, named Francis, who investigates the murders of several domestic cats. Eventually, he realizes that an evil cat was attempting to create a breed of undomesticated cats as an attempt of overthrowing the human race out of revenge. The film is notorious for its horrific imagery; one scene that comes to mind are the nightmare sequences. A gigantic version of Gregor Mendel, the father of heredity, appears to Francis in a nightmare, and explains to him that the answer to the mystery lied in the word "felidae" itself. He then produces marionette strings, and makes a sea of dead cats dance on those strings.
