Original Xbox Review - Serious Sam II
Okay, the time has finally come for me to write my second Original Xbox review, this once specially for Serious Sam II.
Now I'm going to go ahead and admit on a personal note, that while the cartooniness is half the fun and a lot of fellow SS fans didn't like the extra, salted on silliness of such, I enjoy said themes and mischief to a degree. Some of what I don't like in this gameplay has to do with it and some don't. But with that being put forth, let's begin.
So the game begins with Sam being summoned by the Sirian Great Council to be put to the test of whether or not he is The One who is meant to put down Mental, the series' antagonist for good. He is told he must hunt and retrieve the five pieces of the Medallion of POWER from five different planets. He starts with and is sent to Planet M'Digbo.
This chapter features a planet based on Native African caricatures and culturisms. The enemies even include a form of primal race called Primitives. (Evi
