I'm trying to shut you out
But it's just so hard not to hear
Your whisper becomes a shout
As soon as its sound reaches my ears
Why do I care about your views?
It's not like you're in a position to understand
And I thought I was so sure of what was true
But I felt my heart sink at your reprimand
It's not like you care about me
You're only angry because you think it's wrong
Is it really possible that you clearly see?
And that I was merely mistaken all along?
I've been trying so hard to do this right
And I thought I finally had it down
Why does your bark also have to bite?
And what am I to do with these 'flaws' you've found?
Black Torrent strode into the Control Center looking agitated as he pulled off his cowl and grabbed the TV remote. “Someone want to explain this to me?”
The TV popped to life on its normal channel, following the local news. The report was about how Black Torrent and the team had thwarted an armed group of thugs holding people hostage after a botched bank robbery.
Overcast looked perplexed, “That’s not right . . .”

Memories are branded
Upon my skin
And my mind alike –
Conscious and unconscious –
I am reprimanded.
Kaci decided to check that Christie was still fast asleep as she headed out. She was relieved to find that she was, but that didn't last long. It turned out that Kaci's presence in her head stirred her enough to wake up and she cussed to herself; it was the first time in a couple of years that sleeping Christie had reacted to her. She ran out at a fast speed; she couldn't move as fast as she could while she was wolfed, but she still moved fast enough to get out of the Circus grounds before Christie registered what was going on.
Christie groaned and rolled onto her back, rubbing at her eyes. She was sure that it was too early for her to be aw
Your voice dripped with pain and rage.
Your words pierced my chest like
I felt every one.
I let the blades cut into me
Knowing I deserved it,
Knowing I needed it,
Knowing you needed it.
Studying how I hurt you.
I watched your eyes glisten with
Tears like wildfire,
Rare and intense,
Burning my soul
And breaking my heart,
Knowing I broke yours.
