DAUGHTER, GO WHEN I SAY
These cracks don't mean I'm broken, These rips don't mean I'm torn, I'm still running home and, I'm just a little worn. Father, open the door. Mother, open your arms. Welcome your withered daughter, Before you let her go. Show me all the paintings, Hanging 'round our walls, Remind me of the times, Where we stood proud and tall, Flip through crinkling pages, And show me all the pictures, Remind me of the stages, We weren't on the outskirts. Remind me of our story, Read the words aloud, Before my sight goes blurry, I hope I've made you proud.LiteratureHeaven Has Questions
Nobody told me Death had wings and a halo on his head, I find this out after years of life, seconds after lain to rest, He flew over me quick, a vulture to a carcrass, Yet landed so soft, like his feet were on carpet, But that couldn't have been, there's no carpets in coffins, Unless I had made it—was I finally in heaven? "My child, young traveller, your journey ends not here," The voice sounded kind, so why'd I freeze in fear? "Your life was a path you traversed with little ease," I questioned not his truth and bit back all my pleas, "The afterlife awaits, how your death will bring new life." Didn't see the hand that struck but I saw the slash of his scythe. My story remains unfinished here as a metaphor to existence, You might think that one day we all die but you'd be sorely mistaken, Life ends not at death but when you run out of adventure, For even heaven has a billion questions, should you try and answer, Life ends where curiosity dies, not where a body is buried, Run acrossLiteratureWhere The Moon Stores Its Sorrow
I loved you the moment our eyes locked, You loved me the moment my mouth snapped shut, I loved you strong, like a never dull fire, You loved me quick and slipped away like water. I loved you so, and I loved you dear, You would too--in another universe, not here, I loved you like I never expected to gain any, You loved me like you knew I wasn't leaving, I loved you now, then and there, You loved me slowly, each day with more care. I loved you since the start of time. You loved me since the end of time. I wish our paths could have met, I wish our stories were set, Together, us, in a 2x2 frame, But the thought of us was hard to obtain. I loved you, I loved you. Every passing second, a flower bloomed. You loved me, you loved me, Choked on petals for you to blame me. I'm too used to the sting of nobody there, Now your presence is a harmful flare, I wish I could feel you like a nice warm fire, But you came too late and my state is dire. You loved me too late and I loved you tooLiteratureJulep On The Porch
How could you keep loving me, I'm the most selfish, cruel blue beast, We haven't talked in years at least, But the messages, you'll keep sending me. I'm sure I'm unlovable, unbearably so, Yet the love I ignore, it bangs on the door, Your hands shake wildly and your knees give in, But the door remains shut like my eyes behind it. When will you leave? Give up, go home, I won't budge and my heart is a dome, You've been at my porch for a stars whole life, Staring at me inside, all the while. You deserve someone better, Someone without teeth, Who won't bruise your time, Or make you bleed. You don't seem to get it, The chair outside filled, I wish I could tell you, This love will never build. And it's not even one-sided, I want to hold you too, But I hurt you, don't forgive me, I need to learn before I heal. The galaxy will keep turning, In a never stagnant world, But your feet remain planted, Outside my wooden door. One day, I might let you in, After a trillion nights haveLiteratureGrowing Pains
Piling Tasks, Growing Pains, Do Them Fast, While Staying Sane, Even, straight, Describes My Work, No Mistakes, ᴼʳ ᴵ'ˡˡ ᴮᵉ ᴴᵘʳᵗ, Stay On Top, Never Drop, Never Rest, Be The Best. My mind is aching, My body is shaking, My hands shall grieve, What they are not making, And my legs can ᥴɾꪗ, Over starry nights, Nights I wish I had to myself, Conflicts with others that cannot be dealt, For we hurt each other far too badly, Now we can't forgive us, sadly, So when I gaze at the starry night, The image of you lingers in my mind, And though I may not see you again, I'm quite sure It'll work out fine.LiteratureIMAGINE BEING HUMAN
Imagine being human, Loving someone just to lose 'em, Acting brave only to run, Feeling brave only to die. Imagine being human, Feeling small, even in union, Thus resorting to the fusion, Of heart and mind and matter. Imagine being human, The greatest revolution, Successors of this era, Yet flawed children of Terra. Imagine being human, Creating to feel complete, Imagine being human, Dependent and weak. Imagine being human, Being less than but a fraction, Of cosmic dust and space, Humanity treats life like a race. Imagine being human, Needing a specific reason, Like the duty of a maiden, Or the calling of a crewman. Imagine being human, Wanting a certain function, Dear, please clear your vision, Approval is your poison.LiteratureJackdaw Magpie, Jupiter Mars
Whoever said you were useless did one good heck of a job, Look at you, knees to your chest, all curled up in a ball, You took it to heart, didn't you? Not considering what's a lie or true, Don't fret, Jackdaw, you're meant to cry, but let me tell you how to feel alright. Think, there's a burning star in the sky, Made of helium, iron, but why? Not a single planet orbits the thing, Does that make it useless? Do try and think. There's a planet a billion miles away, Doesn't serve a human but rains diamonds all day, Another that makes winds on Earth seem small, Are they useless, since they give nothing at all? The king of rings, a feast to the eye, Glimmering sheen stretching beyond my life, Does this King rule us, does he help us at all? Usefulness does not equate, To how hard you're willing to fall. The only time you are useless is when you do not serve yourself, You have no obligation to bow under another's belt, Every star, planet, and rip in the dimension of time, ServesLiteratureWhen God Was Fable
Wasn't there a time when God was fable, When Mother Nature was our savior, Wasn't there a time we grew from bark, When water gave us life and a beating heart, Wasn't there a time we didn't disagree, When we said "Look above! We come from trees," Wasn't there a time our sisters were fresh fruit, When we nurtured love and played our flute, Wasn't there a time our culture bloomed, When we passed down teachings and ancient heirlooms, Tell me, wasn't there a time we were all kind, When God was fable and all was right? - Literature
Jewels
we are jewels in the crown of midnight, dark obsidian tears, made of moonlight and blood rippling on sorrows’ surface, disturbing the night’s slumber we are torn skin of the faint young sun, black fires burning on the forgotten hills, children of the opalescent haze and moondust touching the mortality with madness; ruling over abandoned circles and shadowed mazes we are the last kiss from the goddess, blinding the nature with our brilliance, coating its heart with a stellar honeyLiteratureI Am, We Are
my soul - brushed with black and green child of the forest, anointed of darkness my heart - a spark among dried autumn leaves oval portrait surrounded by ivy my spirit - touched by the claws of the gods from the endless meadows a wildflower among the roses, an untamed creature of the night [ we are both made of light and the darkness that caresses our skin a cruel touch of the sun the soothing kiss of the moon we hunt among branches and roots; bared fangs, burning eyes wrapped in blood and moss clad in leaves and raven feathers ]LiteratureWind and Stone

your lips taste of blackberries sweet promise of candles and silent whispers the old drapes fall, lights flicker like wounded will-o-wisp we escaped the gods' clutch filling the void with dull flames harbringers of their doom; angels with rusty wings your lips taste of bloodied berries glorious foreshadowing for the death we braid with our touchesLiteratureHuman Skin
you can't stop my paths to lead me into the lakes filled with dreams where water washes the bad away with soft tides my darkness embracing me softly with black wings kissing my heart; a mother of beautiful monstrosities my heart longing for forbidden magic hidden in the roots and bones; flowing through spilled blood my hair always being full of fireflies and leaves unseen for your eyes; yet you always hear them rustle and sing you can't stop me from burying my feet into the damp earth from dancing through whispering passages and hidden trails of will-o'- wisps you can't make me to wear human skin I am not of your kind anymoreLiteratureMother
your fingers immersed in the flesh of the earth they pull time on the spool bathed in the rotting gore of the past looped in junctions of future paths you, with a hard stone instead of a heart marble soul hidden in the depths of darkness oh mother, we follow you through root and bone you hear us, our howling tearing the skin of the night with our song you chose us to befog our senses with blood ruthless mother - - we follow you to gnaw the white throat of the dayLiteratureCrown of Bones
