Prepare for a doozy; this week is gonna highlight two characters!
Character Highlight: Zelda
First Appearance: The Legend of Zelda (1986)
In-game Appearance: Zelda looks exactly like she does in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, albeit with an HD touch-up and less identifiable lips.
Voice Clips: The majority of her voice clips come from the modern Smash games, but one or two from the original Melee are still used.
Princess Zelda: the young heir to the throne of Hyrule, and possessor of the Triforce of Wisdom. Unlike your average damsel, Zelda knows plenty on how to fend for herself! She is skilled in magic, archery, and knowledge that has been passed down fro
Character Highlight: Fox
First Appearance: Star Fox (1993)
Voice Clips: Fox keeps his voice from the original Melee for good ol' 20XX sake.
In-game Appearance: Fox's main design is still based off his appearance in Star Fox 64, but I plan on cleaning up his model, possibly make him look more like he does in the 3DS remake.
In a solar system ruled by sentient anthroes, one team of heroes keeps the peace known as Star Fox led by James Mcloud. Then one day, a monkey scientist named Andross revolts against the government, Star Fox takes care of him, and one of the members betrayed and killed James. The Star Fox team would then be later rebuilt by his only son, Fox
Finally, we're moving on to the Unlockables!
Character Highlight: Luigi
First Appearance: Mario Bros. (1983)
In-game Appearance: The above image pretty much describes what I want him to look like.
Voice Clips: His entire set is taken straight from Brawl and Smash 4. I never liked how his voice was originally a higher-pitched Mario~
How to Unlock: Clear Stage 1 of Adventure Mode with a 2 on the seconds digit on the clock (XX.X2.xx). If done correctly, you will fight Luigi instead of Mario in the following match.
Alternate Method: Fight in 10 Vs Matches
Luigi "Green-Stache" Mar
Character Highlight: Samus
First Appearance: Metroid (1986)
In-game Appearance: I think I wanna try a special hybrid between Super Metroid, Zero Mission, and Prime 2
SFX Clips: for modernization sake, I'm going to stick with clips that have been used in both Brawl and Smash 4; maybe a few remixed SFX clips from the Metroid games
Samus: the greatest bounty hunter in her galaxy. Not only did her first game revolutionize shooter games, but she was the first ever female protagonist in the video game industry. Samus lived on a mining planet with her two parents, when they were all killed off by a Space Pirate raid led by the infamous Ridley. Aft
Character Highlight: Ness
First Appearance: Earthbound (1994)
In-game Appearance: I wanna make him look as close as possible to his Earthbound clay art while mixing a few color elements from his Smash 4 appearance. For example, his shirts stripes are perfectly straightened, and his colors are overall brighter and bolder. However, the blue on his hat and shirt still have their indigo hue.
Voice clips: I plan to use his entire set of Smash 4 clips, not because it ain't nostalgic, but it at least sounds less goofy than the last voice he had~
Ness was once an ordinary happy boy who lived in the rural parts of Onett, but everything changed once a meteorite struck t
Character Highlight: Jigglypuff
First Appearance: Pokémon Red Version / Pokémon Green Version (1996)
In-game Appearance: I'm thinking of making her look identical to how she looks in Smash 4.
Voice Clips: Jigglypuff's set has been altered the least ammount of times with every transition to the next Smash, but I do feel her current modern set fits best for this game.
How to Unlock: clear Classic on Easy or Normal with no continues
Alternate Method: play in 20 Vs Matches
Pokédex Entry #39
Species: Balloon Pokémon
Character Highlight: Dr. Mario
First Appearance: Dr. Mario (1990)
In-game Appearance: He will look identical to his Smash 4 appearance.
Voice Clips: To further differentiate him from ordinary Mario, I got the idea to give Dr. Mario his modern voice clips.
How to Unlock: Clear Classic or Adventure Mode as Mario with no continues
Alternate Method: Participate in 50 Vs matches
It may or may not come as a surprise to you, but Mario has done more jobs than just plumbing and rescuing princesses; his most successful career was when he started practicing the art of medicine. Dr. Mario J. Mario has a PHD in medicine, su
