B: WiPO - Ch. 3: What He Lost, What She Found
"The O'Connors." Ben smiled, "I should have known. Other than us, you were closer to them." Penelope smiled, "I am. I believe you passed them as you entered the tavern." "Ah, yes," Ben answered, grimacing a little, "The tall one with dreadlocks was throwing up." Penelope groaned slightly for her elder brother. Hopefully, after drinking some water, he would feel better. "Oh, Bjorn." Penelope murmured before continuing, "We all decided to go in separate carriages and meet at the docks. A ship was already there waiting for us. It took a month of traveling by sea, and more so when we arrived on land." "I imagine that both trips were exhausting." "They were, truly. The twins tell me that I slept a full day." Penelope said as she took another sip from her glass. Ben chuckled at that. Whenever he decided to travel in the off-season, which wasn't often, he too felt weary after the first day and often four days later. The constant jostling of the ship always caused hisLiteratureB: OLP - Ch. 5: Epilogue
Esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen of London, It would seem that a certain Family has earned the ire of the O'Connor Household. The incident from the Diamond Ball has not concluded, since it has been over five months, but the ton are still talking behind closed doors. Tread lightly everyone since the O'Connors are relatives of our King George. We have more royals living amongst us. I fear that the Featherington Household would fall should the Queen act accordingly. But no house has fallen as of yet. Unfortunately, no one knows why Lady Featherington reacted the way that she did that evening. In much lighter news, it would seem that the second son of the Bridgerton family was seen promenading in town with the youngest of the O'Connors. The young lady and young man looked quite content and curious onlookers had said that the two were walking much closer than was allowed and were holding hands. How scandalous! I believe that there might be a wedding in the near future. In more newsLiteratureB: WiPO - Ch. 1: A Birthday's Joy, A Past Returned
April 8th, 1829 "Raise your glasses, you drunk bastards!" Aiden's voice carried throughout the establishment as the majority of the customers and those sitting at the bar did as they were told. "To my sister-in-law who turns three and thirty this spring evening!" The raven-haired Irishman raised his glass to the young woman sitting next to him at the bar; her pale cheeks matched her shoulder-length red hair, and his wife, Tanwyn, laughed and hugged her. "May she be blessed with many more years to come!" A resounding cheer went around the large room, several men let out a series of shouts and whistles as they lifted their drinks to the young woman. Several barmaids did the same as they went about the room, distributing food to the customers. "Happy birthday to our lucky Penny!" Bjorn said, a little too loudly, causing several customers to turn in his direction and cheer in agreement. Penelope couldn't help but let out an unladylike snort when her elder brother gotLiteratureB: TwtF - Ch. 3: Memories 'n Regret
"You have our deepest condolences on your loss, Lady Featherington." Lady Cowper whispered, holding the Baroness' hands tightly. Lady Featherington gave a solemn yet somewhat strained smile in return, a quiet 'thank you' escaped her lips. Lady Cowper's young daughter, Miss Cressida, peeked out from behind her mother's dark skirts before approaching the Baroness. She gave a deep curtsy, fanning out her dark dress as her bright blonde curls slightly covered her face. "Our condolences, Lady Featherington." The young girl said as she straightened up and clasped her hands in front of her dress. Lady Featherington gave the girl a gentle smile, "Thank you, dear." Cressida smiled back before feeling her mother's hand on her shoulder as she looked up. "Dearest, why don't you go and talk with other children? Mummy is going to speak with Lady Featherington." Cressida nodded earnestly and walked away, maneuvering around the sea of adults who made way for her. Lady CowperLiteratureTLD: Ch. 2 - The Quiet Between Footsteps
Pandora: 2154 Location: Outside of Hell's Gate "Gai'la!" A feminine voice hissed out, causing said young woman to shush her quietly. "Not now, T.H.O.O.S.A. The soldiers will hear us." Gai'la whispered into the earpiece as she peeked out from behind the leaves and eyed the soldiers walking around in the camp. A large ship came into view and was preparing to descend. "Is that the ship… the one from Earth?" She asked, watching it land with a loud 'thump'. "Yes, it is. Now, go quickly. You have exactly 5 minutes to get into the compound before you are spotted." Gai'la said nothing as she readjusted her cloak and climbed the tree. Leaning against the trunk, she rushed forward and hurled herself over the fence, landing and crouching low. Still crouched low to the ground, she pressed herself against one of the buildings and ran. Stopping behind every other building to avoid being seen. As she finally approached the last building and hid behind it, she peeked her head out and noticedLiteratureB: TwtF - Ch. 2: Visit at Featherington Manor
"Lady Featherington." The Duchess's voice brought her out of her memory as Portia Featherington blinked. Duchess Emilia sat across from her in the sitting room, her husband the Duke, as well as her two sons and son-in-law sat on opposite sides. Lady Featherington's daughters sat on opposite sides as well. "Did you hear what I said?" The Duchess asked, setting her tea down on its plate. The sandwiches and other sweets were untouched. The older woman felt her cheeks grow pink at the question. Truth be told, her mind had been elsewhere. That and her nerves have been frayed since last evening. She could still hear the ton's whispers as well as laughter as she and her daughters hurried out of last evening's ball. Imagine her surprise when a carriage arrived at her doorstep, and out stepped a Duke and Duchess. A Duke and Duchess that she recognized. Said Duchess was the cousin to the King. It had felt like a stone had fallen in her stomach as the couple followed byLiteratureB: WiPO - Ch. 2: Quiet Talks, Written Goodbyes
April 28th, 1815 "Please tell me that it is not true." Bjorn asked in a low voice, the hood from his cloak obscured his face from the rest of the patrons. The rest of his family was seated around him; the booth that they had been placed in was spacious enough and away from prying eyes. "Please tell me that… that the boy did not accuse you of entrapment." His voice became hard, and an almost growl escaped from his lips. Beneath her own cloak, Penelope remained quiet for a moment before answering his question. "He did." "That bastard." Mason snarled out as he dug his nails into the table, leaving half-moon indentations. "And this was after he discovered that you were Lady Whistledown?" Penelope nodded, "I am at a loss for what to do. I have offered to sit down and discuss it with him, but he will not listen." That Household felt colder than her own home, even with the family members who cared for her. "Come with us." Wilbur whispered, causing the group to lookLiteratureL: MLT - Ch. 3: The Speakeasy
"Viktor!" Sedgewick called out to the bartender. "Another round please!" Holding up his nearly empty glass cup. The bartender, Viktor, glared at him before rolling his one eye and complying, grabbing a bottle from the shelf behind him. "I have to say, Sable," Mr. Church said, taking a sip of wine. "This place has turned around." The last time they had been to Lackadaisy Speakeasy, one year ago to be exact, the place was nearly empty, including the employees, there were only about sixteen people. Now, there were more than fifty. The majority were either sitting at the tables or lingering around the bar counter. Viktor walked over to the group, placing the black bottle of wine in the center of the table, and walked back to the counter. Sedgewick leaned forward, peeled the paper, and removed the cap. Pouring his guests first, he poured almost to the rim and took a large gulp. Sedgewick hiccupped quietly, looking at the red liquid in the glass, and went to take another sip. It had
