It is possible for hackers to attack satellites. They are very vulnerable devices. An attack against a single satellite is bad enough, but how about a worm that infects all satellites? That would have societal consequences, since we are connected to satellites.
This worm is no ordinary computer worm, but a superworm.
On the 18th of November 2018, hackers constructed an intelligent computer worm in a project that took one year to code. It can exploit any vulnerability and inject a payload that turns satellites into zombies to facilitate the worm’s spread. It can attack all satellites, including vital GPS satellites.
Initially, the
