2020 Reading Challenge Book 13.5 - Marie Antoinette: The Journey - Antonia Fraser, read by Eleanor Bron This thorough biography of the life of Marie Antoinette, read excellently by Eleanor Bron, covers the entire span of her life: from her childhood as an Archduchess of Austria, to her adulthood as Dauphine and then Queen of France, and finally, to her downfall and death. The structure in parts is almost narrative-like, reminiscent of a fairy tale or adventure story about a fantasy princess, which fits very appropriately with the subject matter. However, there is also discussion about how much Marie Antoinette was responsible for her fate.
