Dental Visit at the Center
The waiting room of the Center for Interventive Health is quiet as you finish filling out the consent-forms. The building was big, but the waiting room was small, just a few chairs, some tables with magazines, you, and a receptionist at a desk behind glass. It smelled like all dental offices smelled, and you can feel the knot in your chest getting bigger as you become more and more nervous. It's just am exam, a little cleaning, you tell yourself. It's been years since you've had the courage to see a dentist, and you've not had great habits; you can't put it off any longer. Plus you'll be getting laughing gas, so it'll be fine, right?
Have you eaten or drank anything in the last 12 hours? No. Do you consent to sedation? Yes. The questions get check-marks as you go through them quickly. There always seems to be another page, and the last few you don't even read.
Finishing the forms, you gather your courage, stand up, and bring the clipboard back to the receptionist.

Well, I think I have to start all these stories hedging; I didn’t edit this enough, I don’t like it very much, it’s rough, etc. All that applies here. This wasn’t something I was working on long term, it’s just something that came together when I was stuck somewhere with writing time. I was trying to write a sequel to “The Most Dangerous Games,” and while this is set in the same place with the same antagonist, it’s really just yet another anesthesia horror story. Shelly looked up from the newspaper she was reading on the couch and looked over to her flatmate. "If you hate this game so much, why do you play it?"
Trinity fumed. This comment didn't make it any better, but she had enough resolve to not go after Shelly. She would never to after Shelly. With quick fingers she typed 'gg' and gave up the match.
"What happend?", the voice from the newspaper was calm and honestly careing. Trinity didn't reply at first, she sat at her desk, chin on hand, and clicked away the statistic that now clarified her loss.
"I was too greedy... Attacked too soon, ran out of ressources, got counterattacked", Trinity summarized her Age of Empires II match.
"So, you were too inpatient?", Shelly asked, and Trinity nodded.
"Seems you need a training in patients?", Shelly had put away the newspaper and now massaged her flatmates

Somna State University Chapter 1
Sarah and I were sat next to each other working overnight at her mother’s clinic.
We were nervously refreshing our emails desperately hoping for a chime indicating a message had been received. They were supposed to come today but so far nothing. We were both stressed and you could hear it through the aggressive clicking and tapping sounds she and I were forcing out of our poor old laptops…but then the commercial chime sound made Sarah and I both catch our breaths,
We received the email at 11:59 PM. We looked at each other in silence, then slowly turned back to our respective computers and once I heard Sarah click on the email I did the same. We both began reading, getting more and more excited as we understood what we were reading.
