Hey folks! It`s that time again! 2023... the year that I finally went back to the cinema again after having been away from it since 2020.* It was also the first time that I got sick after having been healthy and sickness free for four years (thanks to good hand hygiene and social distancing). It was only a matter of time I suppose. But now you don`t have to wait to the end of 2024 for my list of movies I saw in 2023 that`s ranked according to my own personal taste and bias! Why 8? Because I`m not a professional filmcritic who has time to see most of the movies that came out this year and sometimes other duties got in the way. So I only had time to see 8 movies in the cinema**. (*Unless you count that time I saw No time to die which was in 2021.) **Actually, I only had time to see 7. One of these films was on Netflix. Hello there, everyone and happy New Year to you all. It is I; the British Badnik. Here to start the New Year off with another countdown list. With 2023 now wrapped up, today I thought I’d have fun talking about movies I’ve seen that year. We’ve had movie adaptations of toy franchises, some really good adaptations of videogame franchises, anticipated sequels, some animated movies, just the tip of the iceberg. While I haven’t seen every single movie in 2023, I believe I’ve seen enough films to make a countdown list out of. But before we begin, I do have some ground rules for the countdown list. These films MUST have been released in 2023. Which means I can’t count Puss in Boots 2 for this list, since it was released in 2022. Sorry guys. These films MUST have had a theatrical release. Any films that were only released on streaming services will only get an honourable mention. These films are ranked on how much I’ve enjoyed the film in question. Not on how successful they were in the box
