This symmetry is valid for class-I & class-II geodesic tessellations

It doesn't apply to class-III tesselations, since, by definition, they are chiral

For class-III, chiral tessellations, the mirror symmetry is invalid, so 1/60th of the sphere needs to be modeled. Replications are limited to rotational symmetries only

By the way, my Geodesic Weave design is a class-III, chiral tessellation (frequency 10v{6,4},) so I had to model 1/60th of that sphere

Hi TaffGoch

Where I can learn more about this stuff? especially what are the different classes of geodesic tessellations? and what is frequency 10v{6,4}? I don't seek for a complicated mathematic despcritption but instead in how this translates in the tesselation pattern design.

I read that you use 
SketchUp to do this? do you use a script?

(I do not use scripts, as there aren't any that address all the possible geodesic tessellations. I use the geometric construction methods described in the appendix in "Domebook 2".)
