A common sight in this asteroid abundant part of the galaxy. A large rock has just hit this planet, instantly igniting the atmosphere at impact, and illuminating the previously dark night side in storms of fire. In moments this planet will be nothing but dead and barren. Perhaps new life will walk the earth of this planet once again - but it'll take millions of years for the right conditions for large sized life to reappear.

:bulletred: About

Time: Worked on this on and off for a couple of weeks. How many hours are hard to estimate, but quite a few.
Tools: Photoshop and Vue 7
Original resolution: 6000x3500 (vue renders only 2000x1200)
Stock: Some of the small asteroids comes from *ChrisCold, after rendering the big ones I got a bit tired and lazy.

Please comment and/or fav if you use and/or like it.

Update: A bit blurry from downsizing, some sharpening done.

Wow, a DD - couldn't really believe it when I logged on. Thanks a lot *Sniper115A3 for suggesting and ^Voyager212 for his second DD feature, you rock man!

Thanks also everyone for watching, faving and commenting. You make this worthwhile :)
