In 1780s English fashions spread trough the Europe. Hoop skirts and elaborate ornamentation goes out of fashion. Clothing tends to simplify....

...but not on the court! Nobility tries, for the last time, to outdo themselves. Skirts are bigger than even in the 40s, hairstyles grow to new hights (and they have to look "careless")

In 1780s and 90s there's plentiful of styles. From enormous court dress to extremely simple chemise de la reine, and along the way: robe à l'anglaise, à la turque, à la circassienne, à la levantine, à la sultane, robe de gaulle, jackets: caraco, pet on l'air, pierrot, casaquin, redingote and riding habits.

Dress like this would be worn at court, but it's not the robe de cour or grand habit. For those look here:
