the reason for my departure is that i got recruited to the IDF (Israel defense forces, aka army). i will be leaving early on Wednesday morning November 30th. army is mandatory here in Israel. once you are 18 years old (usually a bit later) you are recruited to the army for 3 years. i didn't make a typo, its 3 years. it is practically impossible to get away from army without screwing up the rest of your life. anywhere you go, army record is part of the requested resume. so please, donut start suggesting ways of getting away from army, trust me, if i could, i would. i hate this situation and therefore hate living in this country.
as a result of me being in the army, i will get home only on weekends if not every other weekend. therefore, i wont have time for any forums, not to mention any c4d projects. just so you wont be delusional, i wont have access to any computers in the army and there is no option to bring a laptop (Even if i had one). i am only mentioning this since i did get once a funny comment suggesting just that.
i still donut know what kind of job i will get in the army. i have a good enough medical profile for them to put me in some sort of artillery (tanks, anti aircraft etc). fortunately, its not good enough for them to put me in infantry. if i were an only child i would surely get a deskjob. alas, this is not the case. i have a nearly 3 year old sister.
anyway, as much as i am full of hate towards the army, there are still some small things to gain from it. the most frustrating thing is, that i am stuck there for 3 years. waste of time, in my opinion.
