Rapetosaurus krausei. Pencil, 2010.
Another illustration of fighting male sauropods during the mating season. I'm sorry for the static scene but couldn't come with something better.

Reference: :iconztwarmstrong: 's skeletal -> [link] . He has done another, a newer one, skeletal drawing of the same species with totally different proportions. Luckly enough because of the angle of view in my work the differences are not so noticeable.

this is awesome, but when I look at the spacing between the legs, the Sauropod looks too skinny(The one closer to the....screen)?

It's because I didn't do perfect job with the perspective... as usual. Other than that people seem to draw sauropods much more skinier lately, so let say I'm following the mainstream. I'm joking. There is some truth in your words.

Thanks for the comment. :)

Long time ago... and I'm not planing to draw one soon. There are still a lot of sauropods I want to draw.

I saw your works. They are really nice. :)

Great restoration and thanks for the plug about my skeletal! I never thought anybody would actually use it, so thanks for the very pleasant surprise :)

As for the proportional differences between my skeletals, the only thing that is different proportionately in the new version is the tail which is much shorter than in the version you used.

The reason for this is that apparently derived saltasaurids only had 35 tail vertebrae whereas in the version you went off of it would have had twice that many caudal vertebrae, a fact I learned only after the original skeletal was completed. So the only thing I would change in the above reconstruction is the tail length, but otherwise it is still very good.

Thank you for the comment and for the elaboration. Now the different versions of the skeletal make more sence to me.
