Asexual Asks (It's pride month!)

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 2, 2018, 3:54 PM

1.     When did you know that you were asexual?
I should've always known. But I found out about the term in 2016 I think, maybe 2015.

2.     How do you define asexuality for yourself?
Anyone who doesn't or only rarely feels sexual attraction towards real people

3.     What is your romantic orientation?
If I only knew

4.     What is your full orientation?
Autochorissexual (asexual-spectrum), cis-gender, idk-romantic

5.     Do you like sex?
Probably yes (I hope so)

6.     Do you like romance?
I like the idea of it

7.     Would you be in a romantic relationship?

8.     Would you be in a sexual relationship?
With the right person. I'd need a lot of trust

9.     Would you be in a platonic relationship?
I kinda am lol

10.   Describe your attraction to men?
Difficult. I find some men visually attractive but that's about it. I find it rather difficult to develop a relationship towards a man.
However I find fictional men mostly very attractive.

11.   Describe your attraction to women?
Women are so aesthetically pleasing. There are tons of women I find hot/attractive. But I wouldn't want a physical relationship with a woman.

12.   Hugs or kisses?

13.   Preferred kisses to receive?
I don't like kisses

14.   Preferred kisses to give?
just on the cheek

15.   Favorite thing about being asexual?
Not to succumb any primitive needs

16.   Least favorite thing about being asexual?
"Do I like this person or do I like this person?"

17.   Worst thing someone has said to you about your identity?
"That's unnatural"

18.   Best thing someone has said to you about your identity?
"It's cool how open you can talk about this" ~something like this probably

19.   Animal or human companion? If so, what kind or who?
Animal: a huge fluffy dog (can I go with fictional creatures bc I'd 100% pick a dragon)

20.   Character you see as asexual?
I don't really look for that but Sherlock Holmes is clearly Ace

21.   Historical figure you see as asexual?

22.   Cake?

23.   Dogs?
Hell yes

24.   Cats?
Only if they're nice

25.   If you could pick an animal to represent your asexuality, what would it be?
A Snake (I love the danger noodles)

26.   If you could pick a color to represent your asexuality, what would it be?
Probably Grey.

27.   Favorite romantic song turned platonic in your head?
None. I don't do that

28.   Favorite platonic song?
Idk, I don't need a platonic song, I like sexual songs

29.   Do you consider yourself LGBTQIA+?
Yes. The A stands for Asexual.

I present you: more useless info about me.
If you got more questions feel free to ask?

OC, FC, RPC, I don't care how you call them, they\'re my babies <3

Thanks for sharing so much about yourself. I think it can take a lot of time to figure out who you really are and as a questioning person myself I felt really grateful you shared your experience.

Welcome :) Fully discovering your sexuality & romantic orientation is a life-long process, I believe. It can only contribute to raising awareness if people talk about their own journey and my one is far from complete.
I wish you the best luck finding yourself c: It really helped me feel like a complete person when I found out about "autochorissexuality" because I didn't feel like asexual was the right term for me.
Remember it's okay to change your label if you feel your current one doesn't fit you (or remove it completely)  rvmp

#15 is exactly how I feel, too. All of my friends and even family members act as if they cannot live without sex on a regular basis. My mom tried to make me feel weird because I didn't have sex for a few years, after breaking my arm, having arm surgery on the other arm and knocking out my teeth. I was just happy watching movies and hanging with my husband and she was basically saying she'd dump my dad if he made her wait that long. It's crazy how people can act that way.

I'm glad to see that you posted this. People always view Asexuality like it's odd. To me and my husband, it's just the norm. I'm glad to see others express themselves and do things like this, so people can realize we're not weird. We're normal.

I'm gonna do this, too, just to continue it on.

Yeah I really can't understand how some people act like they'd die without sex. Like...don't they have any self control? That's so sad.

I think it's important to be open about asexuality and to educate other people. Sadly we're still not very visible.

Go ahead! I found these asks on tumblr (typed ace ask meme in the search) I deleted some of the questions tho

Right? It's sad how people make it seem like they just can't control themselves.

It really is. And, that's why I'm glad you had written this.

Okay, cool. I'll definitely give it a try, then. :)
