The Horned King

By syrusbLiz
My interpretation of the Horned King from Disney's adaptation of The Black Cauldron. This guy has to be Disney's creepiest villian. Not my usual type of image, but I'm quite proud of its turnout.

I started this one last October.. I figured it would be good to get done for this Halloween.

The black cauldron didn't do shit to him, I'm sure he's a happy little soul chilling in a phylactery someplace is just waiting to regrow a body he can control remotely.

My goodness! The war on Gallifrey sure did a number on him!
The design inspiration for the Lich from Adventure Time; a walking embodiment of nuclear war, who's pitch says THE LICH KING IS NOT FUNNY. Yeah, they're both terrifying

This guy was hella creepy! A pitiful excuse for a villain, but still creepy as all hell. :fear:

When I was kid I wasn't allowed to watch it but as an adult I finally bought my own copy. I did a little research fun fact this movie was disney's first PG movie. Great work!

Disney actually released a few PG rated movies before The Black Cauldron, but they were live-action movies.

I mean he is evil but you can see several centuries worth of pain in his eyes.

Disney fans everywhere,

My name is Brian Martin, and I'm from Chicago. I have been a huge Disney fan all my life, and I need your help. I started a Facebook page and petition that are part of a campaign to get Disney to release The Black Cauldron fully uncut on Blu-Ray for its 30th anniversary next year. From what I understand, 12 minutes of completed animation and music were cut from the movie at the last minute by Jeffrey Katzenberg. Producer Joe Hale and his wife Beverly have already given me their approvals by signing the petition I started, another petition started a few days ago by someone else in Ohio, and writing some messages on my Facebook page. They told me the uncut master negative should be somewhere in the Disney archives. Please go to these links to learn more, sign the two petitions, like my page and call Disney to request!

Ahhh the memories of being terrified, but yet in awe of the horned king. I don't think I even understood what was happening when I was watching this as a kid but I did know that guy looked bad ass
