Welcome to the 4th Edition of 'so we herd you liek emotes??'. This news article is designed to help promote emotes, emoticonists, emote tutorials and useful resources from the emoticon community. The day picked for the submission of the article has been a Sunday, but now I am looking for some feedback on the period of time between articles. If you would like to voice your opinion on this, please take a look at this poll synfull.deviantart.com/journal… or feel free to note me at any point.

hologram emote by MixedMilkChOcOlate is the first of this week's featured emoticons. From personal experience, trying to produce a hologram effect on an emote is not an easy task, but this deviant has created a stunning example of how the skill can be mastered. The movement the hologram emote carries out is very simple, but nothing else is needed. It produces and overall well executed emoticon that adds a unique twist to the classic wave.

Thanks Shinken05 by Mr-Shmo-Shmo continues along the theme of waves but from a totally different angle as the last featured emote. I picked out this emote on pure cuteness. The movement is very simple, but also smooth and the facial expression can just melt your heart. This is a great emote for the deviants first attempt and i look forward to seeing any more they may produce in the future.
3.
:XD: by lemonart is a fine example of a classic revamp and a static emoticon. The shading of the emoticon is excellent and the expression, although slightly different from the original is still withheld and displayed clearly.
4.
:cower: by NamelessBot is the next of my featured emoticons this week. It can be quite difficult sometimes to produce some of the simplest emoticons in a small emote, and the emotion of fear is not an easy one to capture. However this emote has pulled it off excellently. You can really feel the fear the emoticon is experiencing and the name :cower: suits it perfectly

:impaled: by IAmTheMovement follows on from last week's Hallowe'en theme. Although not the happiest of emotes, the expression on the emotes face is well chosen and the animation of the blood drops is very nicely done. Lets just hope not all emotes end up like this.
Other great emotes submitted this week </u>

At the second, the most active emote based club is Emoticiety. It is simple and easy to join and become a member, and helps you both gain publicity for your emoticons and find other great emoticonists from around the DA community. It also runs a monthly contest for any emoticonists to enter, and is well worth checking out
