But I decided I might as well write a quick update for all...I uploaded a ton of my more recent poetry. Not a ton of artist's comments, but that's because I figure the words speak for themselves. Same with my visual art. I prefer that people look at whatever I've done and go away with their own reaction, what their first feeling about it was, unaffected by whatever I think. So that's the reason for the quiet. I finally uploaded my artwork for all of you guys to see. Photographs are less trouble to upload, but finally I decided, okay, if my scanner's not big enough, why not just take photos of my work? So I did. Please enjoy. I'll try to keep uploading things as I complete them. But of course, summer's coming, and summer is the lazy time. Still, I shall try to keep it up.The pieces I have uploaded here are done in pencil, colored pencil, oil pastel, scratchboard, and acrylic.

I just got back from a ski trip. I hurt all over.My feet hurt from having boot blisters.My shins hurt from leaning into the boots.My calves hurt from slowing down.My knees hurt from stopping.My thighs hurt from turning.My hips hurt from falling.My back hurts from leaning over.My shoulders hurt from twisting.My arms hurt from getting up.And my head just hurts.I can't move without pain.Standing up or sitting down is a chore.I'm stiff.I'm limping everywhere.But when you feel the air rushing past and the powder spraying and you're flying down the mountain at 25 mph it's worth it.Every bit.
