(to be continued)

summary: AU - None believed that the hate-filled words of a little girl could still live on after more then 200 years, but when strange events start occurring in London the city's only hope of survival lies with one mouse ... and a rat?

Shame on me XC - I killed little over an hour working on this one ... Mainly because I re-drew the whole thing twice! I have no idea how *Mlle-Relda can draw Clawes so well, but I always seem to make monumental mistakes when it comes to drawing him :cry: Still, for a doodle, this is as good as this can get.

Anywho, enough of my obsession with time. Now, piking a scene to illustrate for chapter three was a challenge because I had at least four candidates: the talk, the chase, the argument or back at Baker Street ... As one can see, I settled for the first :heart:

Two of the greatest minds in all of London thinking things threw ... Writing them was marvelous!!!! And even if I am not compleately pleased with how this turned out, I feel that the image is not half bad ether ^^

Until next update, I wish you good night!

p.s. can you feel the storm coming >:3

:star::star::star::star::star-half: Overall
:star::star::star::star::star: Vision
:star::star::star::star::star: Originality
:star::star::star::star::star-half: Technique
:star::star::star::star::star: Impact

Vision: When no detail was given in the chapter (unless I missed it) I pictured them eating in a city environment, nothing at all like this. Regardless, it's still vividly drawn and puts me into their small mouse world. 5.0

Originality: Basil sitting with Inspector Clawes eating fish and chips is about as original as you can get. Especially when it's a scene from a story, it's very unique. 5.0

Technique: I like the continual use of sharp point tools on the main lines and soft, blending tools on the colors and background. Always like the dark borders, too. The blades of grass look very realistic and well-drawn. The chips look a little too rectangular-shaped when they're usually cut with a slight round edge. 4.5

Impact: I am getting simple, laid back vibes from these two. It's giving out a subtle, peaceful talk and eat scene. 5.0

Overall, brilliantly done and another great addition for WitD!

your reviews always make me so happy ... You're simply the best! :heart:

I noticed that - as you said - I haven't given a specific description of their location, but I did mention "She was to meat him on the nearest park to Baker Street." at some point. I noticed that in most mystery novels the author puts very little effort in describing the environment - and overall I figured that this story could easily get boring if I launched into too many details (this is also - partially - the reason why I started to make illustrations for it ;) )

And yes ... I notice that the chips look odd but ... I simply didn't have any more patience on me :lol: (not to mention that I don't have the slighted idea on how the actually look XD )

I like doing grass! :heart:

Aww, thanks! I like critiquing some things and I try to go with what I see and such. :D

Ahhh, okay! It was mentioned somewhere and I must have read it over without realizing it, so I went with thinking of them moving away from the food cart but still in the city area. :XD: But, yeah, often times too much of a certain discussion brings down the story. It's nice to have visuals like you're doing now. :nod:

Sorries about the fries, in honesty, they're weird-shaped to begin with, or depending on how they're cut. Don't like them so thick because they're too mushy. The fish and chips at Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe are delicious. They make their fries a lot skinnier and crispy. :hungry:

:laughing: Then you, my dear, are an official Grass Queen! ;)

Not to worry :aww: Some things just get overlooked - th'is natural ;P
And no need to apologize about the fries :lol: T'was me who was being lazy :P

All hail Grass! :weed:

I cut it for being too wordy, but I was going to say the fries reminded me of vanilla Zingers and then I was getting hungry for those things. :rofl:

:eye: :salute: :weed: :D

I think Basil looks a bit odd, but other then that, it's amazing.You made Inspector Clawes look... eh, dashing. Oh god, did I really call a mouse handsome? What have I come to D:? Anyways, you couldn't make Basil look more feminine of you tried XD her shoulders are so... eh, small I guess? It makes her look lither then Clawes, considering she's really really amazing at being a detective, and fighting well if we take place of her during the movie fighting Ratigan. AND YET A GIRL PROTAGONIST THAT ACTUALLY FIGHTS THE BAD GUY IN AN OLD DISNEY MOVIE WOULD BE SOOO COOL.
I do not see freakishly large insects in this one... and that is a good thing, since if there were any they'd lose a few fingers when said critters go for the chips and the yellow square Clawes is munching on.

Hey, wait... A yellow square? OH... MY... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD! (They're eating her... and then they're going to eat me!) That is genious! A yellow square! The only thing that could make this more awesome if there was a gay clown leering in the background. They can't see something starting with gay clown now and that is always regrettable.

I do not see any Llamas either, or unicorns impaling people and harassing fidgety metrosexual boys... Okay, Even I don't know where that came from.

Oh, right, I should mention the actual picture at some point. Okay... Here I go. Ahem: It is awesome. Well, come on! I'm not an artist, what could I possibly say?

Why are Clawes' chips three times bigger than Basil's?

That is, after the llamas shall turn it into their playground of destruction.

and "Why are Clawes' chips three times bigger than Basil's?" ... I honestly don't know. Maybe the sales-mouse liked him? that's a pretty scary though since from what I remembered I wrote that mouse to be a man ... now I'm worried ...

But at least the world is not yet ruled by llamas!

He looks fabulous here! *Mlle-Relda did wonderful sketches of him and with that as helpful guidance, you got him to where I'd say, "Hey, that's Clawes!" :D

Very happy to hear that :tighthug:
I was so worried I messed him up. Glad to her otherwise :woohoo:

I totally admit Clawes is a little difficult to do because he's so specific, but I think you did a great job! Adore the way you did his eyes! You made them so bright!
