Having finally gotten around to playing this... and while I'm enjoying FF16's story, and it's characters... I just wish it had a better system... or a better gameplay loop. Just repetitive fights and very little reward for exploration. example... Treasure chests 8.5 out of 10 times just have blacksmith materials, and the bare minimum minor materials at that. It's VERY disappointing to find this hidden away chest squirreled off in some corner of a map... run over and open it... and it just has like 10 bloody hides and 8 sharp fangs (when I already have 2999 bloody hides and 4596 sharp fangs)... it's like 'Who the fuck puts those in a box to hide away?!?!' Especially becomes a pain in the ass later in the game... where those materials aren't needed anymore... like AT ALL. Yeah you needed them (at times) for like the first two or three chapters... but well before halfway through the game they become just... pointless. I mean if you had a bigger party, or could actually ARM and EQUIP
