A bad feeling crept up on the old Tideripper, one that set his paws itching with an uncertain desire to be anywhere anywhere except for here. Saying not a word, he abandoned his post and the other Eirmurians, slipping away to the coast, looking back towards the mainland with a weary certainty that something was badly amiss, and that it waited for him away from Eirmuir's shores.
