1.What is your real name/nickname?
——Do I have to? Alright… Brackenridge Orataro. The last name is derived from the Latin word for ‘politician,’ which is of course what my father does for a living. He’s (not) coincidentally the only one who calls me that. I’ve always liked just ‘Bracken,’ like that tough, poisonous fern. It certainly fits my personality better than ‘
2.What is your current age?
——Well, I joined the GSA at 17, and I’ve been here…wait, 30 years?! Jeez… Anyway, age works differently here than in your universe.
——I used to go over to Corduroy’s house for dinner once or twice a week (Mrs. Cutter worried about me, as my dad was always at work) and sometimes we’d have stew with whatever meat and bones the Cutters had left from the hunt, and vegetables from their little garden out back. So good…
4. Favorite drink?
——Hot cocoa, for sure. With whipped cream or marshmallows if I can get them.
5.Have you ever had a lover?
——Uh… no. Corduroy was always the *cough* ‘hot’ one. At least that’s what the girls at boarding school said. Being friends with a ‘ruggedly handsome’ hunter didn’t give me much of a chance with the ladies. Besides, I’ve seen what happened to my father after Mom died. I want nothing to do with it.
6.Kissed anyone yet?
——Rub it in more, why don’t ya?
——Eh, there it is.
8.Who is your favorite author?
——Hmm… I was never as big a reader as Cords, but… I liked the first book of the Hunger Games a lot.
9.What’s your biggest fear?
——My father. Don’t take that the wrong way, I stopped fearing him physically a long time ago. But he was one of the leaders in ‘negotiations’ with Nightmare on the High Council, and unfortunately… he has a lot of support. He could trade Patch Land away for ‘protection,’ and I’d never know it before it was too late.
10. Have any siblings?
——Nope. I’ve always wanted to be an older brother, but I guess I’ll have to settle for being a godfather to Felt.
11.Who’s your worst enemy?
——Hmm… hard to say. I’ve met a lot of lying, thieving politicians in my life, dear ol’ Dad included… but NME is still a little worse than any of them.
12.Who’s your best friend?
——Corduroy Kamarcheum Cutter, of course! We met when Dad and I moved to Secret Island, after my mother passed away. I don’t think I could’ve survived boarding school without him. He’d help me with my homework, then I’d sneak out to go hunting with him later. He made me laugh for the first time in ages, and eventually we’d go on to found the Patch Land Corps side by side.
13.What would you do if you could meet your creator?
—--Ask them why in Hot Land they waited until now to mention my character-defining backstory. Seriously.
14.What do you want to do when you’re grown up?
—-Well, I’m already grown up, at least I think so… and I’m already a Star Warrior, fighting for Patch Land. Cheesy as it sounds, I’m doing everything I’ve ever wanted to do.
15.What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
——If we defeated Nightmare and freed the galaxy? I guess, and this kinda makes me laugh, but… I’d go into politics. I know, it’s exactly what my father wants, and I’ve never wanted it, but… well, not all politicians are bad, right? Patch Land will need leadership, and I’ve known the Royal family for years. Prince Fluff has potential as a good monarch, and I’d be happy to work alongside him for the good of Patch Land.
16.Where is your favorite place to relax?
——I gotta say the Cutter’s little house in the jungle of Secret Island. I was welcome there whenever me and my dad inevitably got into an argument (he’d occasionally come home on the weekends) and Corduroy and I would just lay on the big fur rug in his room, talk, play cards, or just Truth or Dare eachother into doing or saying the stupidest things. Good times.
17.What do you do most of the time?
——Well, GSA work keeps me busy most of the time, as I’m the officer in charge of round the clock patrols, as well as other duties. But Cords and I still get to hang out occasionally, so not everything’s changed.
