Description
I did this for a good friend of mine. She wanted something that symbolized missing someone. I initially intended it to have a divide similar to this [link] but after spending a week figuring out how to actually do it, I didn't like how it looked.

I got a lower res crop of this years ago when looking for wall paper for my first "smart" phone with a decent screen, the LG Dare which came out in 2008! It was only the woman's side of the picture without words or the tree. I've had that as my phone background for a good 5 or 6 years off and on. Not knowing anything else, I called the picture Island Girl and have semi-jokingly referred to her as my dream girl when I show it to friends.
I've searched a few times over the years to find the origin and to get a higher res version. Tonight was the first time I found it through a google search which revealed the full picture. TinEye was able to identify Deviant Art, which it was never able to do with the cropped version I have had.
Anyway, thanks for such a great archetypal image. I'd pay to have a version of it done for my home.
