Hey, as promised here are a bunch of dead OCsI made in the past. Some of these were made like 6-7 years ago. That was when I was younger and struggled with drawing OCs based on other characters from media I really enjoyed. I was cringe back then but nostalgic for that happier (?) time in my life so I decided to draw a couple of the dead OCs saved on my phone. I'll try to explain them in ore detail but my memory is bad.
Guardian Girl (Top left) - Honestly I don't remember much about this character, she was more of a flash in the pan concept that I then scrapped. I remember getting into like, Minecraft hostile mobs drawn as anime characters and I distinctly thinking, "How come there isn't one of the Guardian and Elder Guardian?". So, I decided to draw them for fun. She was some serious character whose eye was always obscured. She struggled understanding the people and things around her but lived with an unnamed Scylla OC she called her "sister". This was the time I tried drawing digitally, I made some pieces and a couple comics featuring her and the Scylla OC but I scrapped it. This was the phase where I rlly hated drawing fanart of ppl's characters. Why, because I felt as if there was no point since they wouldn't keep the drawing anyway. So, her and the other ideas I had were thrown in the trash.
Elder Guardian Woman (Middle left) - A trend you'll notice with these characters is that most of them are unnamed. The reason why is because I am horrible at naming stuff and just liked to draw characters back then and this OC was no different. For some reason I've always enjoyed drawing women more than men. It's something I'm trying to quell because I really want to draw more variety but back then that was all that I drew. The Elder Guardian Woman I drew was an instance where this was evident. I just enjoyed drawing her that when it came time to make lore of her I gave up and didn't give her any. The reason she was scrapped is the same as the Elder Guardian OC, I just didn't have a use for her once I scrapped the comic.
The Twins (Bottom Left) - These two had a name at some point, I just forgot. They were an OC concept I was playing around with. I had grown obsessed with the game Fran Bow and with the conjoined sisters in that game that I made my own. I think this one is one of the recent ones I tried to revive. They are a set of twins, one mean and catty and the other meek and shy. They are obsessed with voodoo magic and love that it cost them their freedom. I really liked this duo, it was fun drawing scenes and terribly made stories of them but just like these others they were scrapped. The reason why was simple, I just couldn't fit them in my current Edrich universe or any universe for that matter. I tried the concept of them having a completely different look but I disliked it a lot so I scrapped it. I probably won't revisit them, but I still really like the concept.
Tiffany (Pink-Haired one in the middle) - Now onto a fairly new scrapped IOC that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. Tiffany was clearly based on Giffany from Gravity Falls and she was essentially a carbon copy when I was REALLY young. But over the months of her creation her lore shifted a lot and it lead to the basic gist of her character. This was that she's a robot with 50 different "microchip" personalities controlling her. She herself is nothing special, but if one of these personalities control her then she becomes that personality. Happy, Sad, Angry, LOneLy I began creating multiple OCs with the same features but with different personalities. I had a lot of fun with them, but eventually I decided to scrap the idea all together. I had gotten very good criticism from friends at the time that the concept became too convoluted and confusing. Also creating 50 different personalities became very difficult as some overlapped with one another. So sadly, I scrapped Tiffany for good, an OC I really liked for 3-4 years at that point I think. Sometimes I revisit the Tiffany's, such as with Lonely but I don't think I'm compelled to really focus on them other than for nostalgia purposes (Maybe I'll redraw them who knows)
Vampire Girl (Bottom Middle) - This will be very brief because this OC legit lasted a few days before getting canned. Still in that phase where I was really into drawing monster girl OCs I had focused on the idea of making like a bunch of them (Mainly because of Crimson's existence inspiring me). I had thought of this silly idea for a character who wears the Dracula fit from that old Dracula movie and acts like the most stereotypical vampire ever. Nobody takes her seriously tho. I canned her because I really struggle with drawing things that haven't been done to death (such as vampires).
Gravestone (Top right) - Gravestone was another pretty old oc I had well before I posted on here. I liked the idea of this scary woman who acted all serious and inept at the world, but is just someone who never had a childhood. Gravestone was supposed to be based on this character from AQWorlds named Gravelyn (the similarities you will find are kinda there) and for some reason I adored giving her a horrible backstory. Her father was a deathknight and fully abused her, forcing her to drink dirt to remain resistant and eat bugs and other gross insects and bugs to stay humble. This combined with her sheltered life made her resentful of the world around her as what her father said. Meanwhile her mother lived as a priest and left her behind, it was between her and Gravestone. So she's an abused warrior who eventually became queen of her kingdom of bone. Her kingdom of course was on a giant skeleton turtle. I scrapped her mainly because I lost interest and I couldn't fit her in the lore I had made at the time. I did enjoy drawing her hair in this, MAYBE I could draw more of her but idk.
Lamia and Scylla (Bottom Right) - I lumped these two together because just like most of the monster girl OCs I made they don't have much lore. One of them is just a wild Lamia who acts more like a stray dog without much care for the world around her and the Scylla OC is just a chill girl who loves to game. I really love the idea of Scylla, so I drew an OC based on that back in the day. They didn't go far in terms of concept stage, but in my scrapped comic (as I said before) she was Gurdian Girl's "sister". I scrapped them mainly because I lost interest and redrawing them now makes me feel nothing ngl.

So those were the OCs I made back when i was younger and a lot more cringe. I've made more but most didn't go far and other's were lost to time. These were just the ones of note cus I drew so much of them back in the day. I think its good to redraw old characters for fun, it makes you wonder why it never worked out and improve for the future. Welp, that's about it ![]()
Honestly these are great designs. When we're young, we have plenty of creativity to spare, and as a result we come up with amazing ideas with little or almost nontechnical background (I mean, only a nerd like me needs realism) then we grow up and these ideas seems to be childish in a way and then there comes the scraping.
I'm a big fan of reusing or adapting older designs to my new qualities and experiences, with more information and tools I can bring my childhood dreams to the light again. I hope you decide to bring them back somehow, I don't care if they got straight back as they were back in that time or if you decide to tweak them a bit. I think it will be a great addition to your stories.
TL;DR Characters look super good, bring them back please, bye.
