Not quite "Yankee Bayonet" but certainly evokes a lot of the same mood. :D

The pink-yellow-white faded gown is a pretty choice. :) Jane is ever the May queen.

I'm glad you like that color choice.  I liked the pink of the original, but when I think of Jane, I really think "Yellow!!" so I figured I might try and get in a bit of both.  Yes~  I like that

The part that always amuses me about them is how Jane doesn't really know anything about Horatio's life as the Conductor other than what he might have told her. ;P So, in a way, it really is sort of this 'wartime sweethearts' feel to it.

Oh yeah. The soft fade matches the volume of the dress.

Heh heh.  The interactions between all sorts of people who had would never have met otherwise are definitely something that seems to have come up a lot in this story.
