“Wow, talk about a dysfunctional family on another level.” Daisy said with her mouth full of crumbs of the chocolate chip muffin she ordered in the cafe.
“I just hope Anne is safe. I hate to predict the outcome of her behavior that displeased her parents. Hopefully I didn’t cause all of this.”
“No no you didn’t. Her parents are to blame, not you, not her, not anyone else.”
Varvara shakes her head not at Daisy’s statement, but at herself. “....What am I saying? My apologies for that.”
“It’s fine, though I’ve never seen this side of you Varvara. You’re always….serious.”
“But I like that.” Daisy smiles brightly before nomming on her muffin again.
“I’m glad you do.” Varvara smiles weakly. She mused on the times where people in the workforce would suggest she to lighten up due to her serious demeanor. Sometimes they begin to gossip about the divorce her ex husband filed to catch her attention. It had always worked and it’ll never seem to stop triggering her.
“Hey Varvara? You
New Donk City is completely drenched in heavy rain. The rain is so heavy that no ordinary person could see from afar. Daisy jogs to locate at the train station. She only has 3 minutes to get on the train, otherwise she’ll have to wait another hour. This morning she received a text message from Varvara, instructing her to meet her in Cinderville.
Daisy replies with a question asking for a reason in which Varvara replies in capital letters ‘NOW’. Daisy pants as her feet splashes the water underneath her. She’s running out of breath but she cannot call it for a day, the meetup is her priority.
As the train begins to move, Daisy instantly jumps inside. Once she gets inside, she stands in with the crowd then pulls her phone out to read a mlm novel. Her face flushes when reading further but she’s not complaining.
The conductor announced that the train will stop in Cinderville at around 10:15 a.m. which is 45 minutes from now. “Aw man…” Daisy scowls. She exits the app to
“Heyo! Heyo!” Daisy greets after entering the police station.
Once the two policemen at the counter catch a glimpse of Daisy, they instantly roll their eyes.
“It’s you again.”
“Yep.” Daisy winks as she rests her elbows on the countertop.
“If you’re here to see Saito, it’s not going to happen kiddo.”
“Ugh, again?!” Daisy sighs heavily. It’s been the fifth time since she come to the police station.
“Sorry ma’am, visitors aren’t allowed.”
As soon as the officer tells her that, a woman exits the room to leave the station. She had thanked the officers on her way out. This causes Daisy to be skeptical.
“Who was that woman and how come she gets to go in?”
“Err…” The officer quickly comes up with an excuse “The person she’s visiting wasn’t Saito that’s why.”
“And why can’t I see him?!”
“He’s done many terrible things.”
“Terrible things?!” That’s new to Daisy.
“The president has said that murder wasn’t the only thing he committed, he robbed an elderly couple’s home, hit and run

“Why do you have to be this way?” That question begins to repeat in Z’s head. He tries to ignore it but he can’t. Pauline studies his facial expression and easily theorize signs of coercion and oppression.
Z may not admit it but he’s showing those signs.
After the constant refusal of answering Pauline’s questions, Z gives up by speaking
“It’s how we are.”
“What do you mean?”
Z sighs. “What I mean is…..”

Awakened from the knockout, Pauline finds her arm confined in her captor’s grasp.
“What happened?” Pauline asked in thought. She recalls the time where she was taken into an abandoned building with Z and three furtive people adorned in dark cloaks. Pauline can also recall the time when Mario had failed to save her. Her stomach growls loudly and it surprisingly caught Z’s attention.
“Here.” He threw down a plastic bag before unhanding her. Pauline drops to her knees and tears the bag. What’s inside are miniature bread buns. “Thanks….” Pauline spoke in a dithered tone.
“It’s nothing, just figured you’d be hungry so I bought these.”
“Bought them? Do you mean you stole them?”
Z scratches the back of his head. “Yeah I stole them.” He admits while smirking about it.
“You’re an odd one…”
“Shut up human or I’ll take your food privileges away.”
“Sorry…” Pauline begins to guzzle the miniature bread buns. Z just stood by watching her eat.
