Birding Life List now at 226 species (and added a category "found at my home" - 40)
I have upgraded camera bodies, again. This time, I have selected the Canon 7D Mark II (didn't wander far....). After running somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 shots and some really interesting technology upgrades, my Canon 1 DS Mark II is being set aside. I am still learning to use the camera body, but expect postings soon (or soonish).
Positive Comments on the 7D Mark II - dual image processors appear to be giving me sharper results; shooting higher ISO settings seem less grainy; GREAT, FAST focal lock without 2x; lighter, slightly smaller camera body; NOT Plastic body; works with all of my current lenses and memory cards (yes!); added ability to take high quality movies.
Negative Comments - No focal lock signal when on manual focus; cannot auto focus with 2x adapter; changed locations of power button (was conveniently on the right, now on the left - learning curve)
Overall - I would recommend the Canon 7D Mark II.
