When the Tekken series went 19 years into the future with Tekken 3, Namco decided to introduce a new, younger Indian chick in place of Michelle. Julia started off as a naturally cool design... her move-set built upon Michelle's core fighting style. Julia's design became a bit stale later, in Tekken 4 & 5... her DREADED cheap elbow juggle alone was enough to make people hate her with a passion. Thankfully, her later move-set/combo style in Tekken 6 promoted players to not use the silly elbow juggle and use flashier combos. In fairness, Julia is still a hot babe in a sexy Indian outfit (her booty subtly jiggles in TK 4-5 while in those jeans), and for what kind of design she is, she's pretty effective overall. However in my opinion, Julia was one of the character designs in the later of the Tekken series that needed "something" (including with many characters that are kinda stuck in loop, all because you're not a "Mishima")... and I'm glad Namco thought so to! This alternate version of Julia makes her a more interesting character and also explains why Julia had a few "wrestling throws" to begin with.
