At The Rusty Dragon by suzidragonlady At The Rusty Dragon by suzidragonlady
:) Time for a new art upload! :D
This commission was done for Zed-Silverclaw of his character Skree infront of the "Rusty Dragon" tavern.
The base for the background was modelled in Blender and all the rest was drawn and painted in PS CS 6 then. ;) I'm really happy about how it turned out.

This is beautiful! Love the atmosphere you've got going on here with the perspective and the lighting. The character looks really well shaded too. Great work! :D

Sehr schick geworden!

One more time: Thank you so much for bringing my little fiery red kobold to life like that in front of his favourite tavern. :D

I really love how this turned out. :)

Very nice detailing on the buildings and the light shining through the bars of the door.

An excellent job on the entire setting. Seriously, the buildings and the street are so darn detailed that you even see the spots where some folks may have spilled some liquids of unknown origin. Most likely mead or bear, but it left quite noticable stains on the stone. What is also charming are the cracks in the bricks, which showcase that the building is in fact not quite as stable as a modern one would be. Also the Shading is superb, as the light sources coming from the torch and the inside of the tavern are perfectly taken into account. It all feels very natural.
As for the character himself, the fine scale detail on the drake's skin certainly are something noteworthy. While I have a limited view on it, the texture still looks very scaly to me and the pose is also really lovely, where he is relaxed while keeping a flintlock pistole ready. A pistole, which is lookich very nice as well, just like his attire. And for a nice final touch, that rat also is pretty cute. It got such cute eyes.

Thank you very much.
I think this file has more than 100 layers in the final version (not counting the parts that I merged during the process), I'm really happs how the details and everything turned out there.
The original image is really big and shows the scales on the skin of the character and also the leather texture of the jacket, I did not upload a bigger version of it because it was a commissioned piece. ;)
Thanks again for your kind words. :D
