...and Francois. he was the last one.

this is so totally conceptual for me and i love that. what i was trying to show here is... well, u see there are 5 names and 5 stab wounds. pretty obvious. heartbreaks, one sided emotions... u know the thrill. its part of life. in fact, if you want to live and engage in relationships with people at all, you're bound to be hurt sometimes. when you go on a date or do anything at all that might evoke emotions towards that other person, you know theres this risk...in fact sometimes its rather likely you'll end up hurt, but of course we hope for the best. still, we go for it. because its worth it isn't it? that's the wonder of life. there cannot be pain if there was no positive counter feeling to begin with. that's why she's holding the knife, as if she did this to herself, but more like to communicate that in an ironic way, we choose to (possibly) get hurt when we choose to live life to the fullest. and the photo is further symbolic in the sense that its not possible to do that to yourself and live. when your heart aches it feels like it'll kill you but we know it doesn't. i hope the tears in her eyes and the very slight smile convey that time after time its worth it all :)

well i hope u know what i mean. this is the way i see it anyway.

she is the beautiful Tiitta. i was supposed to do this photo ages ago but lacked inspiration. last tuesday i had to set up a shoot for a documentary that was done about me, and i considered faking something but then i decided to give this a try.

there's nothing new, still the same theme. A tattooed girl, a knife and a few bloody clothes.

This is a really cool idea. Her face expression seems normal, as if nothing bothers her which is cool, I'm not sure if shes the killer or the killie.. but it seems she isthe killer and she looks very, plotful XDD

I love the concept of the picture...You pretty much explained my tattoo I have on my page of a heart stitched and restitched. You have to sometimes get hurt to know the true meaning of love.

This photo caught my eye and I am so glad that I took the time to read your comment about it and really look at your photo. I think your description is absolutely wonderful; this is so true of life. There can be so much meaning in an artists’ work that can escape the eye with a quick glance from the casual observer.

yet, it is the artists job to try communicate something so that no description was necessary... and i tend to fail at that. but i dont mind if the ideas are left open to different views..

anyway glad u like it

Once again, a beautiful concept <3 I love your description of it too, completely true, in my opinion and slight experience. The model here did a great job too!

well i wasn't thinking of that while doing this photo, but i gather its rather obvious we're all just like her, receive and 'cause' wounds, some more some less.

I love this one in particular though, just because there's so much emotion in her face and just in this peice. Great Job!

I've a hard time making out any stab wounds. It looks like blood splats. In fact, before reading the description I thought perhaps it was just blood on her from someone else. I haven't read through all the other comments so forgive me if mine is redundant. But that's just my little bit of critique. Bear in mind I'm no expert on what stab wounds look like :P

Ok, well I can't really say this is one of your best photos, but the concept is what matters here. I think you summed it up nicely in your commentary. This type of pain is something we often subject ourselves to without even realizing, just to feel alive. I myself have a problem with bringing things to a horrible end when they begin to get stagnant even for a moment, just to feel that hard rush of agony that screams... 'You're still alive!'

oh yes, exactly. i sometimes wonder if i'm a masochist but really, i guess its just that feeling. and sometimes i get into things, or flings, that i know will end in pain (i'm pretty sensitive), but i do it with a smile on my face, the better it is, the harder it wil make me cry, yes? ;)

Exactly... It's just for that extreme feeling no matter what end of the spectrum, whether it be of extreme love and joy, or extreme sadness and loneliness. I think it's more prevalent in artists for their better perception on thoughts and emotions, which also serves to drive their creative juices. These are the things that make our best works, when they flow like a torrent from our mind, body, and soul. Thus we ever thirst for more.
