My Bio

I've been drawing most of my life, ever since I could walk. I am primarily self taught what I have learned was from studying the masters; from DaVinci to Kirby and from countless exhaustive hours of practicing and working out my style and technique.
I was hatched in the great Northwest (Lynwood, WA.)not so long ago. I am single, no kids (at least that I know of ;) (Wink) and I now reside in Orlando ,Florida.
My main goal in life besides the usual achieving ultimate happiness and total inner peace is to see my own work (art & stories)published and become a success.
I love women, classic movies, rock & roll, Jazz, and classical music, animals and nature and football ("GO STEELERS").
I hate reality shows, politics, hypocrits and liars and ignorant people.
Although I feature some of my work here at deviantART my official website is ;the SURFACE ART STUDIOS I am an affordable hard working artist who is always available for commissions no matter the current workload.
I specialize in Comic, Science Fiction, and Fantasy subject material, and also do the occasional portrait and life illustration, and logo design. :) (Smile)

No I'm not talking about the old rock band here, I am talking about me. I have had a rough couple of years financially mainly because of my health. I was diagnosed with primary Lymphedema last June, its a manageable disease that attacks the Lymphatic system, in my case the lower legs and I am stuck with it for the rest of my days cause there is no cure but its not lethal. At the sweet age of 50 I find myself applying for disability and SSI, but I also find myself in a most awkward and humiliating position; asking for financial assistance. I need to obtain at least $1,000 rather quickly in order to take care of my mounting health bills and ...

MANDI NUMBER ONE FULLY FUNDED via KICKSTARTER!

Great news today; my creator owned project "Mandi" has achieved FULLY FUNDED status at kickstarter and I couldn't be happier! This officially opens the door for her printing and eventual publication. I am currently putting the finishing touches on issue #1 of the series then it will be off to the printers, after which I will be assembling the rewards packages for all those who took part in helping fund her first book. Want to thank all who took part and supported me through this journey. I will be posting updates on her progress towards printing and publication here and on facebook...thanks again for all of your support.    -Peace :)

Weii, its official, with the help of some close friends I have successfully launched my first Kickstarter campaign for my first creator owned project; "Mandi", the campaign runs till the end of March and its to help fund the printing  and promotional costs for the series.
