For WinXP, Vista, Server 2008 & 7

Transparent Context Menus makes pretty much all context menus transparent. desktop right click menus, File menus... unless id an app is an older app, or makes use of a different method of drawing a menu, it should be transparent.

This is a good alt for those with out Aero, or is still running XP.

It sits in your taskbar tray, a click will bring up the options, clicking the "X" will close out the program. Unlike how the TransTaskbar is a run once app, this has to stay resident. I am debating merging this app and TransTaskbar together to be one app.

but i am lazy, so probally not.

enjoy.

Any way to make this do blur transparency in vista/7?

That would be amasing.

it should work in Vista and 7. but this is a vb6 app, and microsoft eventually removed support for vb6, so if it does now work, that s why.

I'm looking for a transparency tool that works like this to permanently set the default for white background do is with darker text as I have a visual impairment that makes my eyes sensitive to light backgrounds which unfortunately the default for all GUI''s.
There is the program black glass.EXE (which only works in Aero themes to turn black backgrounds transparent) so I guess I am looking for a White glass.EXE to turn all white Menus, 3-D elements, pallet titles, active toolbars etc transparent or opaque but in a non-aero theme like Windows like high contrast Access ability theme but mainly in dark Aero themes that generally struggle with WordPad, Windows live mail desktop GUI's that do not go dark background with white text with the rest of the dark Aero theme, for some reason? I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and I can't seem to get it working with black glass.EXE or full glass.EXE in Aero themes, do I have to restart to get it working after each configuration change? Any help appreciated thanks & for your hard work.

So, no fix for win 7 (where it appears opaque at first and then changes to transparent)? It has to work/look smooth, or else it's pointless.

it takes the app a few seconds to realize that the menu has been popped up, then it transes it. sorry if it is not as fast or as good as you thought it would be, but something is better than nothing.

using it on win7 ultimate 64bit (i7 920, 12gb ram) + nvidia gf gtx275, works ...almost... fine!

if you f.e. right click on the desktop and the menu appears you can see for the fraction of a second the full shown menu and only after then with some kind of "pulsating effect" it becomes transparent! but well...

and please: change the ugly original vb6 icon with something smoother... it's win7 time by now, not win95 time anymore... ;P

Another idea: can you add transparency to solid-dragged windows?
It should make solid-windows dragging transparent only while draggin. Would be nice...

that would be a bit tricky for me to do, due to hwnd actions, and i dont know how to detect hwnd manipulations, if there is even a way on how to do so... sorry.

Nice! But, can you please change the icon in the Try? It's horrible :)

You could use soemthing like this: [link]
