Super Justin 2021

New art? This late? Where the heck have I've been all this time? Well, if you've been keeping up with my personal blog and my Twitter account, I put a lot of my focus in late 2019/all of 2020 on a little game called Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart, and during that little trip I introduced the game's community to a heavily retooled Super Justin that I've been keeping on the backburner for many years following its cancelation. I could have used Aozora, but I didn't want to go all-in on the massive chunk of Aozora OC's and Justin fit the mold of the game more strongly.

So what is this retool, you're asking. Well I put everything you'd want to know about it down below:

In short, I took all the negative feedback I received about the character in the seven months or so he was present online (March to October of 2009) combined with all that I learned from building up Aozora's world and its characters to better develop the Justin characters that would return for the reboot and make them more unique amongst each other. It will still be a lesser project compared to Aozora but I figured it deserved better than full cancelation, especially following the positive reception I received when the character was made for SRB2Kart.

Now onto the art, since this was my big "comeback piece" I decided to make two renders of Super Justin instead of just one. This turned out to be overkill for me while balancing it out with several other projects, even with a character with not too many details (just a T-shirt and some shorts). Making art during a time where I've been having difficulties staying focused and undergoing fatigue from lockdowns due to the pandemic didn't help either.

I don't have plans for new art for the time being until I can get some motivation and better ideas flowing that I'll be more driven and focused towards finishing in less weeks than this art on Super Justin. I also need to make some progress towards game-developing later in the season/year now that I have Game Maker Studio 2. Otherwise, enjoy.
