Little Alexander

Now that I've drawn Ash from the Van gang, I wanted to share some of the history of Alex and his friends I made before I joined Deviantart. So here's Alex from 10 years ago!


Alexander's a pretty sweet kid, really soft and quiet, and a bit babyish for his age. His mom raised him to respect other kids and always be nice, and as a result the girls love him, and other boys think he's a sissy. He still loves to draw as much as his current self. He's not the greatest at it, but he's trying his best. He's got a speech impediment that other kids tease him for, and he talks too fast. His wardrobe is comprised almost entirely of number 8 shirts, Because 8 is his favorite number. He doesn't have a good reason for this, but. he tries to explain because it's shaped like a "wacetwack", and its an even number, and it's made from two 4s so it's super cool.

The biggest bullies he has to deal with being his extremely popular and manipulative best friend Danny, and the mean girl no one understands, Helen, who likes targeting Alex because he can't defend himself and is easy to humiliate. He's also got an obnoxious admirer in Ashley, the weirdest kid on the block, who loves Alex and his feet a little too much. And his annoying next-door neighbor, a really young girl named Audrey, who likes bugging Alex for fun like a little imp. 

He still has a massive crush on Sarah, but she's too popular to notice him... His own best friend is her right hand man, but Alex also thinks of him as competition, little does he know Daniel isn't into girls. Regardless. Alex always tries to do his best, but usually ends up tied up and humiliated in some way.

Some things never change...
