Halloween
The spirits in the world beyond
of halloween they´re very fond
They gather to visit the mortals on earth
to let them see another world.
This night as darkness begins to fall
the veil between us opens it´s doors
We mortals must stay calm and brave
and hope the spirits will all behave.
Monsters, Ghosts and Ghouls do dare
to prowl around and give us a scare
To keep them happy, to soften the blow
we prepare some goodies for them to show
A welcome full of sugar and sweets
For all good Spirits who call out
    "Trick orTreat"

Skeletons
Dusty, dry remains hang in the closets of your mind,
Cold and naked, their teeth chatter, quietly they remind,
of all unspoken Sins, thought dead and buried from the past
and you fear once more to face them, so you close the closet fast!

Hey Mister
The sins of your past have come back to haunt you
Crying and denying what else should you do?
your two little girls say prayers for the victim
and even your wife says "it wasn´t him."
Your family and name have now been destroyed
You´re been called out and you´re so annoyed
It´s all come to light and you´ve been exposed
Your skeletons have risen so high on their toes.
Now imagine your little girl is almost raped after school
by a boy who was drunk and just playing the fool.

Muriel Mouse's Christmas Dinner pt1
On a bitterly cold Christmas night,
the snow lay round about.
Muriel discovered she had no food,
so was forced to venture out.
She struggled in the deep deep snow
as she scurried up the  lane.
The icy wind almost froze her nose
and her energy it drained.
She came upon a farm house,
"Hooray, there´s someone home"
the lights were on, the curtains drawn;
she heard voices singing songs.
So as quiet as a mouse,
she squeezed under the door.
 No one even noticed,
as she ran across the floor.

Ich bedanke mich für das Lama und gebe eines zurück. Ja das Stolz sein auf die Kinder kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Ich habe auch drei schon erwachsene Mädchen und jedes für sich macht mich stolz. Frohe Weihnachten.

A favourite poem 'Daffodils' by William Worthsworth (1770-1850)

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o 'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside a lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way.
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed- and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
and then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

Lost in History

Morning breaks on the broken and
in the ruins of the mind
bathed in sunlight,
memories seep out through the cracks
and tears flow like rivers
trying to wash them all away.
Never wanting to forget their love
their story or their life together
but who else will remember
the sheer joy in their hearts
as they looked into each others eyes.
Now the agony of remembering
how life was before
is destroying this abandoned derelict heart,
that's somewhere lost in history.

Shakespeare identified the futility of 'painting the lily' as it's perfect anyway   :iconpinklilyplz:

The artist or photographer can only to preserve that ephemeral perfection

Thanks for thinking my submission captured some of the the beauty of that lily

Thanks for the llama :happybounce:

I knew a llama once. At least I thought I knew him. I mean, how well can anyone really know anyone, much less a llama. With their air of mystery and thinly veiled contempt. It’s hard. But I digress.
His name was Kevin. But for reasons I will never understand, he would only ever answer to Albert. Identity issues aside, things started out okay. The usual introductory sniffing and sneezing went well, despite his allergies, but then things started going downhill during the ritual licking phase of the pleasantries. We pushed through. And had it not been for the spitting, we might have even been able to make it work, but alas, after just 3 seconds of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally decided to part ways. It’s kind of sad, when you think about it. Spitting seems like such an innocent thing to fight over, but he was pretty adamant that I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, but Kevin, like all llamas, was very competitive. First came the stench competitions. Then it was belching contests. And lastly, a painstaking count to see which one was hairier. You can clearly see why our relationship was doomed. The poor fellow was a bit of a sore loser.
So he snuck out, taking with him a failed friendship, an obliviously optimistic dread of the future, and my sixth favorite toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I can honestly say, it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that drama? :shakefist:

Full disclaimer, as Kevin’s official biographer, a position of which he blackmailed me into (don’t ask), I’ve been instructed to inform you about his ongoing series. The journey starts here with The Kevin Chronicles - Chapter 1, and this gallery contains the rest. You should check it out.

*End of cue card*

And don't worry, they're pretty short.
No pressure though, only if you want.
