Supach

I'm standing at my window and looking down at the street. There are people coming and going I'll never get to meet. I remember us walking together, walking hand in hand. We only had eyes for each other, no cares, if others might glance. I remember the fun and laughter and the sweet wine we'd so happily drink both of us not knowing what the future would sadly bring. My sadness is never ending as are my precious memories too when I walk down the street alone now I'll always remember you. 4.11.2025

All the happiness that I once knew, must last me now till my life is through. I can say this much it`s wearing out, not much these days to laugh about. The world's gone crazy this much is true, their moral compass has lost a screw. Who knows what the future has in store, it is Dog eat dog and much gets more! This lust for power, wealth and greed, like a gigantic chasm to those in need. The rich on top, the poor suppressed below, There's pressure building, could it possibly blow? In a different world where we all might win, needs everyone to help, all must chip in. No hunger or starvation, there 'd be enough to eat, there'd then be less violence and ofcourse less crime on the streets. Something in the system, the way the world is run needs a drastic change now a new start, and re-run.

It's on an ordinary day middle of an ordinary week that this absolutely excruciating overwhelming and devastating feeling of missing you , Hits ! It will be a while now till everything's ordinary once more but my "Ordinary "is well, not feeling anything at all. It's better that way Ordinary has become the norm. The screw, screws out and the back comes off In there are wheels and cogs and a lot of other stuff. when this bit moves it moves that bit too It's all fascinating and interesting and new! Take this bit away and see what's behind It's more cogs and wheels all moving in rhyme. Remove this and that to see how it goes He'll take it apart cos he just has to know well would you look at that there are so many bits so tiny and shiny but they no longer fit He took all the parts out thought it'd be fine but now has to admit it's stopped telling time. There it was, this object waiting to be found. Whiling in the sand dunes a long time buried under ground. The recent storm exposed it and blew the sand away laying bright and shiny now in the light of a brand new day. We lay together quietly arm in arm, the silence broken only by a little tune coming from somewhere outside, A metal collector's van driving slowly down the road. This would be the last time we would  hold each other. A hospital bed arrived  that afternoon and from then on I was your nurse. Now ten years on the van still drives past now and again, still the same little ditty "Wooden heart" playing as it slowly goes by. Our last hug still in my heart. Suzanne 10.02.2024.
