ART SUMMARY 2023!!!!

1. What is your favorite art piece you made this year?

THIS!!!! DEFINITELY THIS!!!! I spent a good two hours on this during a school programme instead of participating and I don’t regret it one bit! Moonpetal looks especially pretty in here and I love the sea and sunsets so HELL YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!

2. What is your favorite design you made this year?

This one was really sort of out of my comfort zone! Usually I don’t add a lot of accessories and unusual body parts so this one was really great considering I hardly do this!

3. Which design or piece do you feel was *most* out of your comfort zone this year?

This Shinobu piece! I hardly draw humans (digitally) but plan on doing more! I also don’t use lighting and glow effects much so this was really a trial-an-error piece (As with most of my art but this hits different)! This was also where I actually tried out different blending styles to go with the piece and wasn’t disappointed lol

4. How many pieces of yours were personal art or vent art?

A lot actually :’) this year wasn’t the best

My scenes at first were really solid but as the year went by my art became more abstract and a bit painty :0

6. What do your chibis look like? 

I started drawing chibis only this year! It’s mostly a test-drive, but it surprisingly didn’t turn out too bad! This is the one I’m most proud of :3

7. Piece you are least proud of! (what do you like/dislike about it, what is left desired, etc?)

Idk I just wasn’t feeling like drawing

Not crazy per se but I don’t use red often and this irl painting looks vaguely like something exploding B(

11. Do you feel your art has improved since the beginning of 2023?

Yup! I love how my scenes are drawn especially! I also love how I draw fur now! It has more tufts and FLOOF

12. What are your art-related goals/resolutions for 2024?

Since I’ll be WAY WAY WAY busier next year I’ll probably just go with the flow and not have a concrete plan, I’ll just take it as it comes! However, I do want to improve my human art style and make it more anime-like if possible :D

13. Final notes!

I really enjoy seeing a rather dramatic change from last year’s style! I also drew a lot of vent art as an escape and not only did it help somewhat, it also improved how I draw and view things! By doing a few speedpaints, I also managed to appreciate them better!
