I think it's better to treat everyone with kindness and respect (depending on how someone acts too, of course, but I mean more as a general rule), while still trying to keep your own strength and confidence, and you'll receive it back. Spread positive energy, and you will receive positive energy, one way or another. A double negative doesn't always work.
