In Windborne the story starts with Ranma out training by himself deep in the woods.  He gets wet and stumbles onto a "time capsule" containing Titania's mantle.

Here we can see the mind spell already in effect (less brainwashing and more "rounding off the edges") as her vanity goes up and she shrinks down to fairy-size to checkout the new body.
