Hello~
I'm Sumatnam! Or...whatever you want to call me, really. Even slander, though it will make me sad.
For the past two years I have been studying at an amazing University focusing on Fine Arts and East Asian Languages and Civilizations. The truth of the matter is, however, that I'm a huge nerdy derp.
I have been passionate about Japanese culture, way before I even knew what anime was, and have visited Japan twice now. My eventual hope is to move there to work. And yes, I can use and understand some Japanese. I also know some Spanish! Learning languages is the best!
That being said, now I am a huuuge anime fan. I also love manga and videogames. If I didn't have things to keep me busy, I'd be a fat couch potato gaming all day, haha.
My favorite anime is a long list, but at the top is Neon Genesis Evangelion and Mawaru Penguindrum. I could seriously talk about them all day. I also hugely love CLAMP, Princess Tutu, Natsume's Book of Friends, Shaft, Sunrise, Bones, and many more~!
So if you ever want to geek it up about anime, please let me be your man!
As for cosplay, I got into it around 2010...making this my fifth year as a cosplayer. I don't think I'd consider myself anything special, but I'd like to think I'm slowly learning.
Other than that there's a lot of things, really, but I don't want to bore anyone, lol. Feel free to chat me up about any old random thing anytime~ And if you ever see me at a con, don't hesitate to say hallo.

I just started watching this since I was in the mood for a "horror" anime and I've been sick all weekend so no going outside...and man did it live up to expectations. Still really horribly sad......
I'm really surprised that it's barely been cosplayed, though. Like, all the outfits are really cute and look fun to make and wear and all the characters are amazing...usually there is one or two who annoy me but I love them all a lot! So I found that weird.
Maybe I will try and organize my own cosplay group! But groups are so hard, and I guess not many of my friends have seen it.... //ganbarre

Sooo I haven't been at all faithful to my online presence these past few months. Sorry! But the good news is that with some of the time I could have been updating accounts I've been working on cosplay!
These two weeks alone I'm doing FIVE shoots, which is a little crazy, even for me, lol. xD
But each of them have been great! I can't wait to get the photos back and edited!
This weekend is going to see perhaps my favorite of the shoots since I'll FINALLY be unveiling "Secret-Kun," after choosing to keep them hidden for both AX and AniCali. I will be working with a brilliant photographer in a beautiful venue, so please look out for that!

So I had a really great time at AX this year! Probably my best AX yet!
I got to see and hang out with almost everyone I wanted to see and get to look at some amazing and inspiring cosplays! And thanks to the great time I had I decided to go to Anime California later this summer so I can finally show off my secret cosplay (I WILL FINISH IT BY THEN! ><).
