sa pagsilang ng buwan
ika'y dadapo sa tainga ng Appari
iyong halik sa aking pisngi - malamig
sa labas ng bahay - alapaap
ang hininga ko'y nakadamit,
nagiginaw din

[at the birth of the moon
you alight on the ear of Aparri
your kiss on my cheek - cold
outside the house - mist
my breath is clothed
also cold]

did anyone come back?

the tagalog actually translated quite well into english, so don't feel that you're missing out on this poem by not knowing tagalog.

Oh, this is nice. It's the same way I feel when Texas gets its first blue northr (as we called it). It is lovely and unexpected, in spite of weather reports. It cools us, dries up the humidity, gives us renewed energy and fills our senses with expectations for the Holidays.
