Well it's been almost a year since I last posted anything art related (longer journal wise) so I 'll let you all know what happened. But before that, I'll answer some simple questions I'm sure you all have. No, I was not abducted by Aliens, mole people, or the Lizard man consortium. No, I'm not some super secret black ops operative that was called away for a prolonged mission. No, I did not go looking for Bigfoot. What actually happened is I went back to school; a trade school to be exact. School along with making items for the monthly art fairs in my area pretty much consumed all my time. If I wasn't studying or practicing at the school, I was making the small mundane stuff and not some of the really bold and striking stuff I love to do.

However something unexpected occurred, those two art fairs got cancelled indefinitely. This threw a rather large monkey wrench in the routine I found myself in. The worse part was that I was getting pocket money from them to keep my perler bead supply going. I eventually ran out of some colors that were quiet essential to future projects I wanted to do. So I kept my ears to the ground about any odd jobs I could do for some cash to fix my craving for beads. Eventually a job of painting the inside of a apartment came up and I offered to do it below the professional asking price. The person who hired me knew of my art background and took a chance. After three days, one ten gallon bucket of white, and three rollers later, five rooms were done with two coats of paint and no mess ups (and yes the client did buy the supplies). This allowed me to get some much needed money to place an order for beads. After they arrived I descended on them and made a bunch of new projects (and more will be coming up) for you all to view.

I hope you all enjoyed that little description of events, and yes I'm still going to school while I make new items. Before I forget, I am going to be at an Artist Alley table at my local comic con this September. So I also figured I may as well get a jump on that as well. Hope you all have a great day.

I have no idea where the original image was from or by whom, I just found it on pintrest. www.pinterest.com/pin/57322385…

Superman
I noticed I have way to many Marvel characters and not enough DC ones. Let's throw some love towards DC with the big blue boy scout himself, Superman.

Just a FYI, I used the new perler colors, Cobalt, Cherry and Fawn in this piece. Fawn for some of the skin tones, Cherry for the medium Red color, and Cobalt for the medium blue. Pretty hapopy how it turned out.
