Riho by suishouyuki Riho by suishouyuki
Sometimes I like to practice drawing realistically, because it helps me think about elements in a drawing I may not usually think about, such as delicate folds, or depicting light and shadow on unparted hair. How should I use the pencil to define things like lips and teeth and noses? It's a lot to think about!

I definitely need to do more photo studies.

I can currently see that you are learning a lot from this drawing. All of the details of the hair are amazing. For me I tend to add lots of different details that may not be needed for the drawing, but I enjoy them, because they add depth to the drawing. Nice work.
