In modern usage, ame-onna is a girl whose presence seems to bring rain, especially to important events. For Urami, it seems to be doubly unlucky, as most of her unfortunate circumstances have happened in direct correlation to the rain.
Having this different version of the same drawing is a great idea. Loving the heavy rain one the most those. The way it hits her is wonderful.
Thank you! I debated on whether or not I should upload one or both, but I decided both would be good to show the contrast. ^^
I really like seeing the difference between light and heavy rain! The effects are really cool--especially with the mist and the way her hair clumps when wet. <3 Poor Urami, though.
This was fun to play with! I feel like I learned a lot by doing both versions ^^ Thanks!
I also love the way you showed where raindrops had hit her shirt in the first version. asjdlfkajsldf I'm such a big fan of rain. I think it's so magical. I'm glad you did both versions because I've learned a lot from watching, as well! ^^
