WOLF - Blurb
"Hell is other people." Jean-Paul Sartre
Synopsis:
An everyday bus trip from Vancouver, British Columbia to Edmonton, Alberta goes awry when the bus stops in the middle of nowhere. The only sign of human activity is the tiny sliver of road that cuts through the vast bronzed fields leading forever into the distance, entwining and becoming a part of the horizon in the imperceptible distance.
Everything seems to go all right for awhile. Until something quite curious appears to reprogram everyone's cell phones followed by a rather brutal murder in the middle of the night. This coupled with mysterious visions of a girl in w

Standing on the side of the pool you wait anxiously. Hundreds of thousands of miniscule tiles litter the floor, little porcelain squares that gently cut at your feet. Waterproof, apparently, easy to clean. No fear of water damage. The eerie blue water silently rocking back and forth with miniature tsunamis crawling to the edges of the pool as if in a futile attempt to escape. But it's all in vain. They rush, back and forth in a sea sickening motion, and spill over the edge only to be absorbed by the greedy grill of the drain. Slurp. Down into the filter and out again. Removing dissolved solids, urine, excretions, blood, sweat, and tears of th

PRINCE CHARMING IN DISTRESS
Chapter One: "Little Town, Little Quiet Village..."
Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, in a galaxy not quite as far away in a cupboard under the stairs but next to the refrigerator or perhaps it was in that one wardrobe's dusty depths under the second star to the right and straight on till mid afternoon Well frankly I've lost my train of thought. A story of this sheer magnificence, of its sheer testicular, moral, and immense fortitude deserves the very best and what better way then to mash-up all the other sub-par places and novel beginnings to create something tru

Chapter Three: Knight in Shining Armour.
"I dunno," Gwen sighed, "it just all seems so pointless sometimes."
"You're telling me hun," Richard sighed fabulously, "all of this seems so repetitive. I mean girl, how many times do I need to ride in on a white horse IN fabulously sparkling armour to save you?"
Gwen smiled mischievously, "At least one more time right?"
"Pretty freaking much," Richard giggled.
The two siblings lay next to each other on Gwen's luxurious four-poster bed. Gwen stared absentmindedly at the ceiling and twirled her finger in the split ends of her blond wi

Chapter Four: Random Encounter
"We've been walking for like three days or something," An emaciated James complained.
Gwen rolled her eyes, "it's been five minutes. See that? Right there? Like in the distance? That's the castle. It's still visible. We've hardly moved at all."
"And quit being emaciated," Elly added thoughtfully.
The two figures, and single glowing sprite, walked at a brisk pace through a small, wooded path. Tangles of trees, roots and other miscellaneous bits of shrubbery with an indistinctly green hue seemed to surround them on either side but rarely, if ever, obscured
All this talk of moving
but never improving.
Everything always as a line –
walk the road because it's mine.
Hills and bumps and scrapes my way,
write it off as yesterday.
I'm stronger now, that was then
but deep inside now and again...
Poison wound, forgotten hurt.
Disregard, try and assert:
it doesn't matter.
Squished flatter.
Thoughts unravelled –
Distance travelled.
Forget to feel –
The lie so real.
Behind you. Without a clue.
Scream inside / Unbroken stride.
Hit the ceiling,
Never healing.
Never feeling.
Never breathing.
So easy to pretend
How superficial.
Much harder to accept:
That child,
That photo
So.... It's happening...
So far I've written two or three chapter one versions none of which I particularly like / found some sort of fault with it.
My first inclining was to write it from multiple perspectives. (As in we learn EVERYONE'S story and get a brief introduction of (mostly) EVERYONE)
But I realize that really murders the suspense of 'who are these people' in a 'who-dun-it' - styled horror story.
So now I'm probably going to write it from one person's perspective. (Third person limited omniscient.)
Still toying around with first person, not 100% sure how it'll turn out.
It's kind of a drag because of how interesting I find a
Slowly re-organizing my profile, getting ready to unleash more projects... And generally be more active again!
(About time amirite...)
As such things have been going fairily well writing-wize.
Just finished the reading of my one act play! (Things went decently well.)
Gearing up for a 24-hour playwriting contest that'll happen in August!
Up until then - just working through school, work, and writing.
Hopefully I have more time to do the later now... :p
Title says it all...

Been a VERY LONG TIME since I updated my journal. May get into the swing of things... Then again I might not. Meh.
Currently about to start my first round in student teaching (after final exams this week/next week... Meep) and currently working on a full-length play. (It's old title being 'All That's Left.') Super exciting stuff!
... But also lots of work...
But I'm definitely starting to appreciate that most things in life are a CRAP-tonne of work.

Also really starting to realize some not-so-very-nice things about people as a whole specifically around the alleged 'issue' of LGBTQ instruction. Being a gay
