Welcome! This is a group specifically to raise suicide awareness and to try and prevent suicide.

Heart-n-Ribbon Divider (Rainbow) - F2U! by Drache-Lehre

Suicide is very serious. And some people don't realize that. And that's okay, because this is what this group is for. It's to raise awareness for suicide and to try and help prevent it.

I know suicide personally. This account, Azures-Legacy, is for an old friend of mine that committed suicide on February 21, 2016. I myself, have tried to kill myself and almost succeeded. I know how hard it is both to lose someone to suicide, and nearly lose yourself to suicide.

I want everyone out there to know that you're not alone. And that you never were. And you never will be. There are people here that love you and care for you. Let me, be one of them.

So if you have a story you would like to tell, or something helpful you'd like to contribute, then feel free too :) This is what this group is all about. Sharing each others stories, contributing helpful things, and overall, raising suicide awareness and preventing suicide.

Anyone is free to join! But I do ask of you, please please PLEASE be respectful of everyone here. Everyone has their own story, everyone has facing and is facing some kind of battle. So I ask of you, to please be respectful in this group to one another.

If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to speak up! I'm all ears!

Some things that will be apart of this group:

:bulletblue: Hotlines for not only this country but different countries

:bulletblue: Personal (REAL) stories that people have content to share

:bulletblue: Helpful photos, stories, literature, poems, anything that contributes to raising suicide awareness and helping to prevent it

:bulletblue: I will also be doing some featuring on this account as well as writing stories of my own and possibly featuring other stories if wanted (just send in a note to let me know!)

:bulletblue: Any other ideas you guys think would be nice! <3

Rules

:bulletblue: Again, my main rule is to be RESPECTFUL to one another on here. Everyone has a story, has had a battle. We all are human. And each and every one of us deserves to be treated equally. So that is what I request of each of you on here.

:bulletblue: And also, please do not post anything in the folders that DO NOT relate to raising suicide awareness. I also would like to keep this page clean so don't post anything that has any kind of threat, violent language, etc. If it is apart of your story, I suggest turning on the mature filter just in case someone gets offended by it.

I hope to help lots of people on here! Please enjoy my group! :huggle:

“…swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home.” It was dark when I shut my eyes and tipped my head back. The pills clacked together as they were swallowed up by the emptiness I felt inside. That’s when the music stopped. And all of those thoughts I had been trying to escape came flooding back. I was sitting on a short concrete retaining wall hidden by a small group of pine trees. The lights from the city were shining through the branches, and I could see the stars in the night sky above me. It was quiet, and it would have also been peaceful if I hadn’t just ingested a large quantity of prescription pills. My priorities were quickly straightened out. I was alive and young. I had my whole life ahead of me and so many possib

You CAN do More to Prevent Suicide
Due to her Daily Deviation today, I was made aware of the situation involving Avalik and her untimely death from suicide on October 1st, 2010. I looked back several pages on her profile and found a link to the article explaining the circumstances of her death:
http://mental-illnessclub.deviantart.com/blog/35401189/
It is tragic whenever anybody commits suicide. It always leaves behind so many questions for their loved ones. Could I have done anything different to help them? In most cases, no, you couldn't, but in this case something could have been done. It's an option most people aren't aware that they have. It is so easy to feel powerless on the internet when you know someone is in trouble and intends to harm themselves.
If you have a friend who is telling you that they want to commit suicide, it is important to take them seriously. Telling people is a cry for help. They don't really want to die. If they did, they wouldn't tell anybody. They're desperately looking for a way out.

Suicide
I'm going to tell you a story
A story about a girl
A girl who once tried
To leave this world
She was sick of  the pain
And sick of the hurt
Her parents made her feel
Like it was nothing she was worth.
Her friends all left
And bullied her daily
This is the story
Of the girl named  Hailey
Haley  was different
From others at school
The only thing different
Was that she followed the rules
No one respected her
No one cared
No one allowed her
To sit anywhere.
When she arrived home she walked
Into the bathroom that day
She took her razor
And cut her pain away.
When she was  done she cried
And stared at her arm
Ashamed of what she did
She covered the scars.
At school the next day
She walked into the room
Knowing if anyone saw her scars
She would be doomed.
She got right to her seat
And ignored all  the glares
She kept her sleeve down
To pretend the scars were not there
The temperature outside
Was hotter than normal
Wearing long sleeves at

Theese people have to find the strenght in them and try to resolve them problems talking with other people, real people, not in chat. This is a good advice.

This is an issue that I have a personal connection to.

I am very sorry that happened to you.. no one should have to go through that. I know what it's like. I not only lost a friend to suicide, but I had almost lost myself to suicide a few times now... I hope that with this group, I can help many people out there who have experienced this, like you and me, and even those who haven't. Thank you for being rave enough to share this and for still being here.
If you ever want anyone to talk to btw, I'm here :)

Me too! I don't like to draw things on short notice if it's for a cause like this because I want it to be as good as possible for the cause, but if I draw something soon to help (which I plan on doing, just not sure what yet), then I'll post it here! :D
