Sue Schongar Whitten's compelling watercolor paintings depict the beauty of everyday scenes often missed in our busy lives. Her paintings reflect the places she loves and the traveling she has done.
​Born in New Jersey, raised in Illinois and Connecticut, Sue comes from a long line of artists, going all the way back to Martin Schongauer, an influential artist of the Renaissance. She got her fine arts degree from Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she lived in Indiana, southern California, and northern California, where she taught art privately and at Laurelwood Elementary. In 2002 she moved to northern Colorado
